Newman scores fifth points-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Subway Fresh Fit 600k at Phoenix International Raceway by .130 of a second over second-place Gordon. It is Newman’s first Cup Series win at Phoenix, his 14th career Cup Series win and his first since winning the 2008 Daytona 500 – a span of 77 races. It is also Tony Gibson’s first win as a crew chief.

Newman scores second NASCAR Cup Series pole for SHR in the TUMS Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway (19.563 seconds at 96.795 mph). It is Newman’s third Cup Series pole at Martinsville and his 45th career Cup Series pole.

Stewart scores fourth points-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., by .894 of a second over second-place Gordon. It is Stewart’s second Cup Series win at Kansas and his 37th career Sprint Cup win.

By simply starting the CARFAX 400 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Stewart clinches a spot in the 12-driver Chase for the Championship three races before the Chase begins Sept. 20 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. It marks the fifth time since the advent of the Chase in 2004 that Stewart has secured a spot in the Chase.

Stewart scores third points-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Heluva Good! 355k at The Glen by 2.969 seconds over second-place Marcos Ambrose. It marks the fifth win for Stewart at the Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International road course, making him the winningest driver in the track’s 61-year history – a record that is unsurpassed in NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One and sports cars.

Stewart extends his lead in the championship point standings to 260 points over second-place Jimmie Johnson.

Stewart scores second point-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway by .110 of a second over second-place Jimmie Johnson. It marks the first time a driver/owner has won multiple races in a season since Rudd in 1997 when he won at Dover International Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Stewart extends his lead in the championship point standings to 180 points over second-place Gordon.

Stewart scores first points-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Pocono 500 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway by 2.004 seconds over second-place Carl Edwards. It marks the first time a driver/owner has won a points-paying Cup Series race since Ricky Rudd on Sept. 27, 1998 at Martinsville.

Stewart extends his lead in the championship point standings to 71 points over second-place Gordon.
