Burger King Corp. and Stewart-Haas Racing Team Up for 2009

Burger King Corp. proudly sponsors Tony Stewart and Stewart-Haas Racing during the 2009 season. As part of the multi-year sponsorship agreement, Burger King Corp. will feature two primary paint schemes on the No. 14 Sprint Cup car which will hit the track at the July 4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and at Dover International Speedway on Sept. 27.

Burger King Corp.’s sponsorship of the No. 14 Sprint Cup car will continue bringing the HAVE IT YOUR WAY® philosophy to all NASCAR racing fans.  “This sponsorship with Tony provides the perfect scenario to get back into NASCAR. His passion, both on and off the track, resonates very well with our core BURGER KING® customers,” said Russ Klein, president, global marketing, strategy and innovation. “We’ve long understood the power of NASCAR, and its millions of fans, and are looking forward to an exciting season.”

Additionally, this sponsorship includes a personal services agreement with Tony Stewart that will be leveraged through comprehensive national marketing programs that may include appearances in commercials, restaurant promotions and at Burger King Corp. sponsored events.
