Came to SHR after spending May 2009 to May 2012 with JR Motorsports, where he worked as Danica Patrick’s car chief for the past two seasons … His work with Patrick helped him land at SHR … Before working as a car chief on the No. 7 Nationwide Series entry at JR Motorsport, also spent time as the interior and underneath mechanic on the team’s No. 5 Nationwide entry, which was the team’s “All-Star” car featuring numerous drivers … During this time, also spotted for drivers Scott Wimmer and Brad Keselowski, who also drove for JR Motorsports … Before making the move to JR Motorsports, worked at Robby Gordon Motorsports from December 2006 through May 2009 … Started working on Gordon’s Sprint Cup team as an interior mechanic and rear tire carrier … By end of tenure at Robby Gordon Motorsports was an all-around shop and road mechanic and spotter … Also worked with Gordon’s off-road team at the Baja 1000, Baja 500, San Felipe 250 and the Dakar Rally … Began his career at Fitz Bradshaw Racing while still in college … Began with the Nationwide Series team in November 2004 as a parts runner and moved up the ladder to car chief of the No. 12 entry by the time he left the organization in December 2006 … Earned a Skills U.S.A. scholarship to pursue a racing-related career, which led him to Universal Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in Automotive Technology … Grew up snowmobile racing and dirt-track racing in Wisconsin … At the end of the 2012 season, moved to the mountains of Idaho with his son and wife, from where he travels each weekend to the racetrack … Enjoys snowmobiling, dirt biking, hunting and keeping up with his son Slade.
