WIX Filters’ “Racing with Ryan” Sweepstakes Provides Most Sought-After Ticket Package in NASCAR:

KANNAPOLIS, N.C., (July 13, 2010) – WIX Filters, the number one filter in NASCAR and an exclusive NASCAR Performance Product, will sponsor Ryan Newman and Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 39 Chevrolet Impala in the Aug. 21 Sharpie 500 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.
And playing a large part in WIX Filters’ activation of the sponsorship is the company’s “Racing with Ryan” sweepstakes, with the grand prize being two coveted tickets to the Sharpie 500, which will run under the lights at the world’s fastest half-mile oval.
So sought after are tickets to Bristol’s annual night race that they’re willed to family members, fought over contentiously in divorce proceedings, and even offered up as collateral. Yet when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its 100th visit to the .533-mile bullring nestled in the East Tennessee mountains, attending the Sharpie 500 could be as easy as registering for the “Racing with Ryan” sweepstakes at www.WIXsweeps.com/ryannewman.

In addition to tickets, WIX Filters will provide the grand-prize winner with the second-most coveted need at Bristol – hotel accommodations. Airfare will also be included, as will VIP passes that will allow for a meet-and-greet with Newman, two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart, and Stewart-Haas Racing pit crew members at the No. 39 U.S. Army team transporter inside the track’s infield. And during pre-race ceremonies, the grand-prize winner will present the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award to the previous week’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Lap Leader Award winner and receive a WIX Filters prize pack.
There will be 39 total prizes given away as part of the “Racing with Ryan” sweepstakes. Beyond the grand prize, 12 second-prize winners will receive a signed 1:24 die-cast of the No. 39 Chevy with display case, a $100 O’Reilly Auto Parts gift card, and a WIX Filters prize pack. Twenty-six third-prize winners will receive a $75 gift card to the NASCAR.com Superstore and a U.S. Army pit hat.
