PRE DARLINGTON JABBER!!!

Ryan has been the talk of the town since his run-in with Montoya....again! This isn't the first time nor will it be the last. Not sure if this is good? It could be costly for Newman at a very inopportune time in his quest to get into the Chase!

Nascar needs story lines/controversy I realize that but just not with my driver. It's all Newman can do to finish most races let alone have old "Scar-face" after him!

No sense in putting out stats for this track. Every race is a coin toss these days!

They just interviewed Ryan during the rain delay of practice 1 and he said he & JPM talked earlier and the issue at Richmond is behind them. He wanted to talk more about how well his car ran in practice 1 before the rain delay. He was top of the speed chart.

In other news, Kurt Busch put his "3rd fastest in practice" primary car into the wall and is going to his backup car. Jamie Mac "broke" something in his car and is not happy. He declined an interview.

The rain hadn't started yet. His right-front tire was down but it wasn't clear if the tire went down before the hit or as a result of the hit. Goodyear said the tire was not punctured, cut or worn out but the valve stem was gone, but again they don't know if it was before or after the hit.

What I want to know; are we playing "Boy's have at it" or are we not? Obviously, they let JPM have at it and ruin Ryans day intentionally without punishment for it. Yet now, if Ryan was to retalliate, they will probably nail him to the wall. Nascar is becoming more and more like the NCAA governing body for college football. Inconsistency is the norm. Just make the rules, but who you are depends on how we will carry out the punishments. No consistency whatsoever.

I don't think this is over at all. The right track, the right aggrevation, the right time and the score will be made even. Just wait and see.
