Wasn't it in the Civil war? Late 50's - early 60's ? That one ?

Also HH - in the 80's we were camping at a place that had electrical hook ups. My brother-n-law went home, grabbed a TV, VCR & tape of Top Gun. The sun was out so we had to house the TV in the tent to see it. It was SO funny to see people walking by and hearing it but not know where it was coming from. Started out w/just like 6 of us gathered around the front of the tent... and ended up, like a drive-in w/many more folks who pulled up chairs. Every time I hear that movie name - I remember this. :-)

Rochelle - here is movie on EBay for sale -

Oh yay, that's it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Learn to speak Russian before you attempt the accent. This is what it really looks and sounds like

Re: Favorite Movie

I forgot about "Dirty Dancing"! Love that movie! :) Last night that movie "Tremors" was on. Creepy, ewwww... gross worms! I always liked that movie though, but, not one of my favorites! "Son In Law" is a hilarious movie! My Pa brought it to me & told Mom, "this is what you can expect someday", ha-ha!

Re: Favorite Movie

Holy catfish, MW! LOL How the heck did you find that ? ( translation)

I couldn't say that w/an empty mouth or full of marshmallows....

Kind of looks like a fun language to play Wheel of Fortune with, tho....
"Can I buy a letter "A" ?" - "Yes! There are 12 "A's"! LOL

Yes... Awsum called it...the wacky weed MUST be to blame.... because I don't want to blame myself... and the weed can''t defend it's self... so yeah... it was the *medicine* ...
yeah, yeah, that's the ticket.... ;-)

Rachael - The worms in Tremors freaked me out! Hate that movie just cuz of the worms! LOL

Re: Favorite Movie

My fave Bogart movie is Key West - Love how he doesn't care, when everyone else is getting freaked out ... and then he saves the day. :-)

My mom was a nurse at Cedar Sinai Hosp in LA when he had cancer. She said he was THE nicest, most polite "celebrity" they'd ever had. Lauren Bacall had a another bed set up in his room, so she could stay with him for long hours. Problem was - SHE was "The Diva" making all kinds of selfish demands. No one wanted to go up against Lauren & tell her this was not a movie set for her ... so the hospital got the Chaplain to break the news to her. For every demand she made, Bogie was grimacing in the background and later would apologize for her.

A lot of "stars" ( in the 1950's ) would either bring in or have someone bring in, 8 X 10 glossies of themselves, signed them and gave them away. One night Robert Wagner had a stack and gave one to my mom...who dropped it into the trash, on her way out the door. LOL

Re: Favorite Movie

Hmmm...don't really have an all time favorite. But here are some I enjoy:

Army of Darkness
Bubba Ho-Tep
Bill and Ted's Excellent Journey
Thor
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (don't know why but I have to watch it when I see it's on)
Forrest Gump (another I'll watch anytime I see it on)

There's probably more, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
