So you missed the part where Jimmie went around and stayed out front for awhile and then out of nowhere came Kevin Harvick and did a slingshot move around Jimmie to win the race on the last lap. He did that move with less than a 1/4 of a lap to go.

Mind you I picked Jimmie for 2nd and Kyle for 3rd.

As did I. I think that gets us each 51pts (if I understand their sometimes goofy scoring system).

I was really torn when making my picks because my gut was telling me Harvick and my heart said Tony. So I went with Tony. That is the last time I will listen to my heart, I got to listen to my gut more often. I could have scored some serious points this week if I had.

I'm sure I will be spending my fair share of time in "the club" as the season moves along.

I look at practice & qualifying results, pour over past performance stats and my wife usually ends up making better choices than I do.

Go figure!

Yeah, well I am the one who picks the horses by the names alone (and I rarely win). For some reason this week I thought California--Sonoma---road race--- Montoya or maybe Ambrose... only when I heard Fontana for the 3rd time did I realize that it's Southern California, not a road course and should have picked Harvick who is usually my 3rd pick. For the first 2 spots, I have yet to pick anyone but Tony or Ryan. So hence, my self-elected presidentship in the 1-point club. Of course considering the SHR's current trend, I may soon be out of the 1-point club! (If I can keep the racetracks correct!) as it looks like Tony and Ryan are going to be in the money this year! WHOOP!

TL I am with you on picking Ryan & Tony. I choose them every week I remember to pick! LOL I just can't bring myself to pick against them. So I too am a member of the 1 point club. Better one than none? Oh well, lots of races left, maybe we will get lucky with our picks at least once!

Even if you choose other drivers and Tony and or Ryan finish in the top 3, all of us will still receive at least 5 additional points.

I know Beav and that really does allow us to pick other drivers to win, but I just vote with my heart and loyalty. To pick someone other than Tony or Ryan to win would be like voting against Ryan and Tony (no offense to my fellow GG members who vote according to trials and course, car changes, lineup, etc.) as I think that is really the smartest way to pick. I pick from an emotional standpoint, because I really don't care about the points. Now if money were involved, it may be a different matter! LOL I'm with June on this one though.
