Power is back on.
We had a strong but short storm to come. Our power went out before it stuck my house with the winds & rain with possible hail. The city has been replacing street lights. Don't know why other than they wanted to replace them with ones that have live cameras in them to catch speeders & have live coverage of accidents. The city next door where the kids go to school, every single red light they're putting up cameras for speeding. They had it ever few lights, but EVERY red light is getting one now. So I figured something went wrong there.
Upon leaving the house to get pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner, I seen what the problem was. 2 roads over from us were some yahoo side job tree people cutting down this super tall tree. A huge branch (1/2 the tree) fell thru their ropes & it knocked our power out & busted up the chain fence of the yard owner. That's what he gets for hiring yahoo people because they're cheap.
I stopped at the stop sign right before his house & it'a good thing I didn't go on because they were still working to finish cutting down the tree & they cut 1/2 the tree size limb down again & it went swinging way out in traffic & almost busted out the window of the house too as they tried to get it under control.
I get back with pizza & our local elec company was there looking the situation over. Now we have our power back on. I guess we was without power for a tat over an hr.
