Yes, you are correct Awsum... I stand corrected. :-)

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World, after all... where's that big dub-ya ? :-)

LOVED Cat Ballou and still sing a few of those songs :-) Loved Jackson the most.

"Now everybody just stand back and give me room to breathe!" LOL

MW - Scavenger Hunt! What a funny, funny movie. :-)

Another oldie, but a goodie and not so remembered by a lot but pre-dated Airplane ... and that was "The Big Bus" :-D

By far my two favorite movies are 12 Angry Men and Bull Durham.

I can also watch any of these over and over with no problem...

Whole Nine Yards
Tombstone
the Die Hards (#3 is my favorite...the current one in theaters I must admit is pretty bad)
Breakfast Club
Field of Dreams

Too many to remember. Gotta add The Big Chill. Great soundtrack.

My favorite line in that one is "Must be the first one's up?"

Love, love, love this movie!!!!! The S. Carolina house in which it was filmed has just gone up for sale. See link for details & photo's -

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/1 ... 77355.html

Favorite line prob has to be "If you're going to sleep this late, then you're going to miss some drama." LOL Followed by a 2nd fav - "I have insomnia." - - "I have something that might help you.." LOL

Fast Times at Ridgemont High.... sigh... those were the days. :-) We didn't have a van ... but had the same smokie arrival back to school after lunch. LOL No... my nick name smokie has nothing to do with Tony or "Smoke." ;-)

Forrest Gump is such a great movie. I still cry when Jennie died and T.H. was talking to her grave. Another movie that ALWAYS makes me cry, gosh darn it... and I KNOW the ending... I KNOW he's coming... but is The Incredible Journey Homeward Bound - at the end when Shadow is coming up much later behind the cat & dog. LOL Like I said, I KNOW the dog is coming ... but when the little boy starts talking... "He was old..." I just can't help from crying! LOL

Re: MOVIE BLOG - Favorite movies of all time

Except for Tombstone (one of my Favs too) and Top Gun, there aren't a lot of the same movies on our Favorites Lists.

A few of mine: Tombstone, 3:10 to Yuma (remake), Robin Hood (with Kevin Costner), Die Hards (1 being the best IMO), Lord of the Rings (all), Lethal Weapons, Christmas Vacation and chick flicks like Pride and Prejudice, Love Actually, Bridget Jones....ad naseum. :D

Re: MOVIE BLOG - Favorite movies of all time

Most of the movies mentioned so far are comedies and deservingly so. But I'm watching BB games this afternoon and there was a player named Lorenzo and that of course reminded me of Susan Sarandon in Lorenzo's Oil. Then I think of her and Sean Penn in Dead Man Walking. Both great dramas and I needed to add to my list along with a musical...Fiddler On The Roof. Topol was GREAT!

Funny I don't watch many movies anymore but I seem to have a lot of favorites.

Re: MOVIE BLOG - Favorite movies of all time

Yep, Fiddler on the roof was great.

I think it would have been more fun to list a line from our favorite flicks and then had to guess the movies.

There would have been so many good lines from Fiddler and Tve (sp?) was a terrific character.

Mine would include... "I'm your Huckleberry." Or
Yippee Cayay Mother **ucker"
"They Fu** you in the drive-thru." :D or
"Suprised Eddie? If I woke up tomorrow morning with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised."
