Glad to see that the SHR team is doing great this year, so far. Tony is tied for 1st. I hope that this year will continue to bring them success and kick some hendrick butt.

Looks Like Tony & Ryan are tied for 3rd now with Ryan 4th because of Tony's 2nd place in Vegas. Still good but after listening to Tony all day, he just didn't have that fire in his voice. JMO

I'm with you, peanut. I couldn't put my finger on it, but just listening to the tone in his voice, something was different about him. I got the feeling something was going on behind the scenes that he wasn't letting on.

I think it is frustration and disappointment from not winning at Las Vegas like he felt he should have and at Phoenix. It probably drained his spirit.
I'm sure he's alright, he just needs to regroup and rejuvenate his energy.

In one of the other articles peanut posted, Tony said his car was tight even during practice and they just couldn't get it freed up even during the race. That may have played a part in his "unhappy" look and tone.

When your in a position to win the first three races and you don't win even one that will damper your spirt a bit. The off weekend didn't help.

That week off came too early in the season. If I remember reading correctly, next year's schedule won't have the off week as early in the race season.

This year the Daytona 500 was on Feb. 20 (3rd Sunday). Does this mean that in 2012, the 500 will be on Feb. 26 (4th Sunday)?
