I don't think it is staged Rochelle. Check out Jeff's comments in the youtube comments section. It sounds like the entire dealership was in on it, but not the crucial element...the poor salesman.

I was laughing so hard that my family thought I had lost it, lol. But, they came to the conclusion that I had to have it to loose it.

Jeff was perfect in the commercial. It's probably something everyone looking to buy a car wants to do. The commercial Tony and Junior did with cars a few years back was great also.

I thought this was a riot. A friend of mine who now owns a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep dealership told me this happened to him when he was working in Portsmouth NH. The only people in on it were the owners of the dealership and nobody else. This way you get more of that ultimate of surprise factor.

I had not seen it on here yet. My friend whom I was talking about sent it to me and I was going to post it, but no sense in posting twice. Definitely makes for a good story to share though after him telling me his version of what happened to him. He wishes they would do something like that at their Ford / Lincoln dealership. Now that would be interesting, especially on the streets of North Conway NH going up the Mount Washington Auto Road. That thing can get pretty hairy, even in the best of conditions.

CONCORD, N.C. - Pepsi has unveiled the video it shot at Troutman Motors and Philip Morris here in Concord in February.

The video, which is promoting Pepsi Max, features NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon in disguise taking a test drive of a new Camaro.

Gordon takes the salesman for a wild ride through the Troutman Motors lot, into Philip Morris, including racing along the top of a loading dock.

Racer Brad Noffsinger, who works with the Richard Petty Driving Experience, did the stunt work for the production.

The video was produced by Gifted You, a division of Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die company. About 75 people were employed during the shooting of the video.

That was wildly hilarious! I saw part of that on the local news last night with the sound turned down, but didn't know what it was all about. That Troutman Motors and the closed Phillip-Morris plant are both about two miles from my house. I recognized them immediately. Really cool! I hope Jeff does more commercials like that.

I'm a little disappointed, but still that is just a great commercial.
I don't believe everything this site comments on, but some of the evidence presented is pretty compelling. Particularly, the year of the car...there is no '09 Camaro, and we don't ever get to see Jeff driving.
