FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH.............
Maybe the new car will take the advantage away from the juggernaut #48?

As a side note I am glad they restricted from having the cars do the crab walk down the straightaways, so drivers had an easier time in the corners.

Danica seems happy so far with Gibson? But, my question is. After seeing the "not so good" results from Tony Gibson with Ryan...how can Danica feel confident with a re-tread crew chief like Gibson?Just saying......

Schmoopy1000 wrote:well as long as your using facts, Penske turned to junk while Ryan was there & it wasn't just Ryans team, it was Penske as a whole.
I wouldn't compare JJ's situation & Ryans situation through their career & claim the difference was skill & mentality. That's like comparing racing a corvette vs. a 1st year model T ford & saying its the driver is why the corvette won LOL.
Stats to us are like facts to lawyers.
We can make them say whatever we want.
If the stories were so black & white there would be no need for a message board.

After things went sour in 2006 I thought the same type of thing, that the COT could have been a welcome change for Ryan (even though I hated the car)...but Penske continued to struggle big with it.
More mechanical grip could definately help and the rules taking away all the rear-end housing stuff teams were doing, I'm not sure that ever suited Ryan, so this is good. Though a smaller rear spoiler could hurt, that was one of the things they did around 2004-2005 that seemed to mess Penske and Ryan up.
I still think teams like RCR and Ganassi will struggle, Gibbs and HMS will be strong - I just want to see Ryan run competitive with the other top Chevys (and run better than Harvick even though I like him too), and hopefully this year the Fords continue to be quiet especially Penske. Really got tired of hearing how BK was the greatest driver in history after last season.
