It is 13* here, I think you have forgotten what cold is...and that 13* is warm compared to recently when we have seen below 0 then you have to figure in the windchill factors.

When I need to be remined what "cold" is, Beav, I open the freezer door and stand in front of it.

I watched some of the Winter Thunder yesterday and will probably watch some more this afternoon. I don't think you can put too much stock in any of the speed results, but it is giving me an opportunity to get used to some of the driver changes, like Matt driving the #20. I need time to get my head wrapped around these changes.

It was strange watching Matt Kenseth hanging around Denny and a few other changes. Then hearing about Joey and Penske in the same sentence. I saw a little of the interview with Kurt Busch and some of what he had to say about the media was valid. Then I heard the bit McRenolds had to say about all of it and I got the impression he thinks the media should beable to say and do what they want. I disagree with jumping on a person when they haven't calmed down in certain situations and that the driver is fair game. Certainly the driver has a bigger chance of stress than someone running around with a pencil and paper in hand. I think what it is now is which one can tick off a driver first. I've been around communication in some sort my adult life and it's sad how run down the performance of reporting is. I know that their orders come from higher up but that doesn't make it right.

I agree, to a point. The times when he really went off were not mandatory press sessions though. He could have walked away but just couldn't control himself. Everyone picks on Kyle when he won't talk to the press, but at least he doesn't put his foot in his mouth. If you know they're trying to bait you, why would you give them the satisfaction? You wouldn't unless your ego was too big to handle. That's the way I see it anyway. Someone has to be the "bigger" person. Believe me, the press around NASCAR leaves a lot to be desired, but the drivers know this, it's nothing new...
