Almost wrote monday in the title area. The holidays are over and now things can get back to normal..

Beav, went to my weather site and they say It's a balmy -3* at 5:00 this morning up you're way...
I've got a few extra ice packs if you need them to help cool things down a bit.

Got to love those freakin weather sites...what do they know about the weather for Bridgton. Step out on my porch this morning and look at the thermometer and it reads 10* and we have no wind.

The Mount Washington Observatory website is reading -15* and 74 mph winds with a wind chill of -89*

Knights Hill...The homes of the rich and infamous. Multi-million dollar homes driving our taxes through the roof. But that is not the only area of town that is like that. Our town is known as more water than land. Moose Pond, like many others in our town, is so large that many years ago they had to build major roadways over the ponds and lakes leaving a few major size pipes for boats to fit through. That is Pleasant Mountain on the right with Shawnee Peak Ski Resort coming down it. I thought this arial photo would be a much better shot with Moose Pond at the base of it.

We have 5200 year round residents, then it swells to 35,000 when the seasonal residents come back, and people think we are insane living on a lake with no public access, no power motors allowed, and it is spring fed, all the fishing I could want, no jet skis or power boats to get in the way, no place to be in a hurry to...gee, sounds ideal to me. Our home is only 750 square feet. We don't need anything huge. I like it the way it is.

You know I will never figure out why they call it Knights Hill, because the whole thing is not more than a few hundred feet in elevation...meanwhile where I live is close to a thousand and we live at the lowest point of the whole road. The highest point is more than 1200 feet on either side of us. However the height of Pleasant Mountain is 2106 feet. To hike it following the trails, it is 3.4 miles.

Okay, that is enough of that.

Mornin gang, Only 364 days tell Xmas 2013

I think you better look at your calendar again and redo the math...it is 358 days until Christmas 2013. Still a disgusting thought.

Here is an even worse thought...because of the snowstorm we still have not sent out some of the Christmas gifts for 2012 nor have we received them all either. These were people we were supposed to get together with on that day.
