Memory Lane Daytona 500 victory

I still think of Tony stuck with Ryan, Tony would have won that race, instead of going down to the low side.

The irony that they would be teammates in the next Daytona 500.

Re: Memory Lane Daytona 500 victory

For us old Newman fans. All we have are memories. Race wins are few and far between these days! Not including even being in the fricken Chase! :(

Newman has been in so many wrecks in his career it's been amazing! And most are NOT his fault as we all know. He has been the "king" of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It work your nerves as a fan. Especially when he's out early in a race!

His new team can't guarantee Newman won't get caught up in his famed wrecks. If they could only give Ryan a fair fighting chance chasing car balance during a long race. I will be happy as peach cobbler! If he's "constantly" loose or tight and on the verge of wrecking every race...what chance does he have?

If Newman is close to the #48 at every race. His team is the real deal at that point. ;)

P.S. I still have the flag on the Daytona win! That was great stuff........
