Congrat's to Brad and his team for winning the 2012 Championship. I'm not a big fan of his, but he does know how to handle a (cough) Dodge.(cough)

47* and a mild breeze this morning in Hopewell. Have to head down to Williamsburg for the short week. No sense in going all the way to Pa. just for one day and turning around and coming back. Have about 4 days worth of work up there.

Mornin gang, Sheeeesh, the last 3 days sucked here in Flori-Duh it was cloudy, damp, durry & didn't get above 62* But today we have 57* sunny & a high of 74*

You're right about the clouds, j. Got tired of those. Hope it stays sunny for a few days.

We still have a few missing ingredients from the cupboards before I get into full baking mode today. So my little assistant is looking forward to our shopping trip as it will also mean a trip to the kitchen afterwards. I can see this one becoming my own little TOP CHEF. Gonna have to send this one off to culinary arts school and good thing our high school has a program to get her started. It is a four year program. Crying out loud, why send them to college?

This one has been cooking since she was three and I am talking about those little easy bake jobs either. I am talking about the full size mixer with all the the attachments from KitchenAide and a full size double oven. She has her own stool to reach everything. Of course she does nothing unattended. I know kids her own age who age and twice her age who can't even crack an egg.

I know from time to time I have talked about the kids next door and lack of cooking abilities and that they are home schooled.

Well, after much consideration from their parents, they have decided to send them to public school. It is not that they do not trust themselves, but they started looking and listening to their kids. The older ones really wanted to interact with ones their own age and no friends their own age. Everybody was much younger.

The mother was also handling the burden of most of the home schooling of teaching 37 classes a day at multiple different class levels and with another one entering kindergarten in the fall that would jump to 42 per day.

Then there was the factor that at the rate of the oldest three current speed of education, they would be ready to graduate high school at age 14 and graduate college at 18. The parents were brought up in the public school system and really started wondering how right this was for their own kids.

So today we now have one enrolled in middle school and three enrolled in elementary. I have been playing a key role as to who would work well with whom in what class and on the bus as the bus has assigned seats.

Little Nikki helps MeMe when she bakes. and I know that he'll be in the kitchen today helping her bake pies. Like yours, he has his own stool and apron. And he's only 4.

Had to make an emergency run to Odenton,Md. One of our Super's had a mild heart attack yesterday and was admitted to the hospital. So I have to cover his job for the day. Left Williamsbug at 3:00 pm and was s'pose to be at the motel by 6:30. Didn't get here til 10:00 pm, after cutting the inside side wall of my left front tire on a piece of metal that was in the road and I couldn't dodge it and the spare had a nail in it. After finally linping around trying to get to the local Wal-Mart to get a tire, that they wouldn't mount cause it was after 6:00 and there tire service closes at 6:00. I got some tools out of the van and mounted the tire myself. Only took me an hour to break it down and mount the new one. There was a WaWa across the street and was able to air it up and continue on my way. I'll tell you this much, I'm getting to old to be doing that crap. I was beat by the time I got to the motel.
