oh good, so it doesnt have a full time driver in it?
I hate when full time drivers lose a ride to a cup guy. (even ryan)

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

I agree........Buescher is a TX boy and Turner's son-in-law so I am kind of surprised he is not driving at TMS. But he is truck points leader so he needs to focus on that.

Ryan will be at Bass Pro Shops on Friday night. I may mosey on over there.......................

I like Buescher. I spotted him when he was in ARCA. Kinda followed along as he progressed.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

This is great that Ryan will be in the Nationwide race. Maybe part of it with the 30 car is that Turner is trying to further guage the strength of the car with an established Cup driver in it, as they are in the middle of considerations for putting Buescher in full-time Nationwide for next year. He hasn't been all that strong this year in that car even though has been great in trucks (while Allgaier has been decent in the 31 NW car).

Though, I wish for once that Ryan would get an opportunity in a top-level Nationwide car, the past several years he's done it, was always with a second-tier team like the #1 Phoenix car, or the #5 JRM car (in my opinion the JRM cars are junk). Would like to see him dominate like he did in 2005 when Penske had a great #39 Busch car, though unfortunately they had helped start the trend of Cup teams cherry-picking into this series.

But I hate to see lesser talents in better cars like Logano, Sadler, etc. have an advantage over Newman in these races.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

ryan lost 4 spots on his pit stop.

He is lacking overall grip.

around lap 70 Danica is actually one of the fastest cars on the track.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

on restart ryan asked if everything was tight. they said yes, but the 31 had the same problem on a set of tires. Ryan said 10-4 it is the right rear.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

lap 125 Ryan has a right front going down
coming in for 4 tires

whatever was up with the tire the 30 crew says they never seen anything like it.
Ryan wants them to save the tire so Ryan can see it after the race.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

they did air pressure adjustment but ryan is still tight, so he says he isnt gonna run the right tire as hard this run.
He pretty much needs a yellow for a top ten finish I would think.

Re: Texas, Ryan, Nationwide

Ryan told the crew they didnt have a car to win so he wanted to do the opposite of the leaders. So he just got fuel & saved a set of tires just in case if there is a late yellow. Talked his CC into it LOL.

Ryan said he knows he is about to get his tail kicked on the restart but is their only chance for later.

P19 1 lap down with 2 unsch. pit stops for tire failures. Not sure if he learned anything tonight for tomorrow's race except maybe dont put to much camber in the car. :(
