This is great that Ryan will be in the Nationwide race. Maybe part of it with the 30 car is that Turner is trying to further guage the strength of the car with an established Cup driver in it, as they are in the middle of considerations for putting Buescher in full-time Nationwide for next year. He hasn't been all that strong this year in that car even though has been great in trucks (while Allgaier has been decent in the 31 NW car).
Though, I wish for once that Ryan would get an opportunity in a top-level Nationwide car, the past several years he's done it, was always with a second-tier team like the #1 Phoenix car, or the #5 JRM car (in my opinion the JRM cars are junk). Would like to see him dominate like he did in 2005 when Penske had a great #39 Busch car, though unfortunately they had helped start the trend of Cup teams cherry-picking into this series.
But I hate to see lesser talents in better cars like Logano, Sadler, etc. have an advantage over Newman in these races.
