Popups on this site!!!

I do not come to this website to have popups come up to tell me I won a Walmart card and have to spend the next hour filling out stuff. The same thing happened to me at the Mobil 1 site when I registered to win Tonys camaro.......enough allready!
It's only rock and roll but I like it.

Re: Popups on this site!!!

Pop-ups would only happen if this sites owners are allowing them to be included so as to make money on clicks and possible purchases. I have been and I am on both sides of this coin, but I do prefer to NOT have them. Soooo, next step...Either we have a voice and ALL voice our dislike and ask that if the use of advertising is still going to be used, is to choose another method, i.e. banners, which I know many of of dislike as well, The other next step rests on us as the user, just as stated in previous post, change you browser settings. Set it to block more pop-ups.

If you do NOT know how, How is a guide to follow in Internet Exploror.

How to turn on the Pop-up Blocker
Note By default, the Pop-up Blocker is turned on. You may only have to turn it on if it is turned off.

The Pop-up Blocker may be turned on in the following ways:
When you are prompted, On the Tools menu, From Internet Options, When you are prompted,
You can turn on the Pop-up Blocker when you are prompted to do this before the first pop-up window appears.

On the Tools menu
To configure the Pop-up Blocker on the Tools menu, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2.On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Turn On Pop-up Blocker to turn on the Pop-up Blocker, or click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.

From Internet Options
To configure the Pop-up Blocker from Internet Options, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2.On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.Click the Privacy tab, and then select the Block pop-ups check box to turn on the Pop-up Blocker, or clear the Block pop-ups check box to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.

Click Apply, and then click OK.

Hope that helps, if your not using I.E. maybe someone else can walk you through or use google search. I just happen to use MS products and more familier. Also I.E. is used by 89% of the market. Nothing against the others, just my choice, works for me, and I do use other products to be familier with or to always compare.
