Chassis No. 39-748: This weekend, Newman will pilot Chassis No. 39-748. Its first outing came at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway three weeks ago, where Newman qualified third but had to forfeit his starting spot and drop to the back of the field before the start due to an engine change. Unfortunately, he never could get the car to handle to his liking during the race and was forced to settle for a 20th-place finish.
