78 has been damaged 2 out of 2 races.
Charlotte Regan (in the top ten) was ahead of 78 before engine faliure, 51 was ahead of the 78 before a pit road penalty
Kansas Regan finished top ten & the 51 was ahead (in the top 5) of the 78 when tire blew.

78 team - 42 pts
51 team - 29 pts

after Kansas.

Kurt is yet to be ahead of the either driver during regular racing. Dont forget though, he is a champion.

haha, not really fair though... AJ's been out of a car for weeks. If we were able to compare the elf and Regan, that's a different story. I just want to know who's going to be in the 51 next week if Jr's back. This race will probably be a factor for AJ and Regan. It sounded like there was some sponsorship possibilities when they announced Regan would be in the 51. I wonder if those same possibilities are there with AJ? I think Regan is a little more solid and a better candidate for sponsors. It may take a while longer for AJ to prove himself, whether that's fair or not. Personally I'd take Regan.

Well Regan was in the top 10 when his motor went, & AJ was ahead of Kurt when they had a pit road penalty. AJ & Regan both wont go wrecking the cars as much as Kurt will. Kurt does have the better equipment IMO but the 51 still might out point him.
Just thought I would keep track, because even if the 78 does out point the 51, it better be more than barely.

I agree the elf should have way better stats for average start and average finish, especially since he loves to point out that he is a past cup champion.

I'm still anxious to see who's in the 51 next week if Jr is back. I'd like to be able to compare him and Regan in each others rides. But if AJ stays in the 51 and can hang with the elf, all the better

I would be asking who would finish better Kurt or Regan, but I guess they think so little of regan in the 88 that he cant do better than a part timer still learning the cup cars. Insane.

IMO Regan can drive as good as anyone on the track. He just hasn't had the opportunity(sp) in good equipment. I think he'll do fine if the engine holds up. You can bet they will pay a lot more attention to the water temp now. GO GET THEM REGAN !!!!!!

Regan had a great finish yesterday...JR motorsports is trying to sign him to NW if it's possible

AJ was doing ok til he cut the tire entering the corner before pitting. His comments were pretty dam funny afterwards too
