lets get back to ryan............ i just spent a few mins on the 39 team page just to see who is on the team, the car chiefs name is kevin pennell, he has 20 years experience between DEI and SHR, i wonder how different he is from Tony G and if he could be the next man in line?

I don't know, but I personally wouldn't put much stock in anyone on that team. The car chief has a lot of responsibility also, but no one seems to be stepping up and helping with anything. If it's true that the whole team would be going to Danica, I would think that takes him out of the running. I would like to see someone from the outside that would have a new/different perspective. Until we know, we can only commiserate with each other.

Only good news I found in this race (Annalee likes it when I find a positive) Is kurt kept passing Ryan on pit road & one would think that 78 pitcrew will be Ryans pit crew next year! (unless Tony steals them)


Schmoopy, almost all of Tony's pit crew has been with him since was in the 20 car.....they aren't going anywhere. I am sure it is safe to say the 78 pit crew will be more than happy to come and be part of Ryan's team. They are anxiously awaiting the "Good to go Pass"! It is time! Maybe they did well to show Ryan they are more than ready to step in. I just wonder who the CC will be

I am not to sure about the Mutant Ninja Turtle costume on Ryan....not one of his better looks....on TG now that would have funny!

^^^^^^^^ actually only 2 members of the 14 team worked with tony at JGR, it even states it in the crew bios

One of the conditions when Tony left, was not poaching JGR personnel. He had to leave his spotter but I know Gooch went with him as he was not just his gas man, but drove his coach also. I don't know who else went with him and I'm too dang lazy to look it up

Drivers have to do a lot more "silly" things for sponsors these days. Remember JJ & his rainbow wig last year?

it was a good thing JJ won that race, so he was able to keep some dignity haha, they sold a lot wigs at the hendrick site after that race this spring in dover.
