NEW CHAMPION..... The #48

Time to face facts people, the MOJO is DEAD. The season is over and a top 5 points finish is just about the best we can hope for.

JJ's not even in 1st and you're crowning him the champion? OK, a lot of us, including me expect it, but I'm not about to shout it from the rooftops with so many races still to go.

if JJ can make it out of dega with a top ten, he might have a great shot of repeating......but the other 3 plate races he crashed out, and there is no room for era with this point system,
yea me bein a JJ be nice to say hey, he will win, but the comp is way too close this year.....

Great,lets throw in the towel already-oh wait it was suppose to be the #11 and #48,but it appears the #2 is now a factor as well.Wait till Dega is over with before we throw in the towel,alot can happen there.My choice of these three would of course be,it's MILLER TIME!

Tony is 32 points behind the leaders so basically the #2, #48 and the #11 need to finish way back in the pack or crash out and tony needs to finish at least 10 points ahead of them for a few races but how likely is that? Even if Tony wins a race, if the #48 or the others finish close behind him it wont help him much.

This is why Gordon is out of it now, as he is so many points behind the front runners, even when he finishes in the top 5 he loses points as the leaders win or finish ahead of him so they all need to have lots of problems for him to get back into it and not likely for all the remaining races or even 3 or 4 of them? Anything could happen I guess as the crash-fest Talledega is coming up and after that race it may define things more--so guess we'll see?

Actually Gordon isn't out of it. He has the chance and obviously can keep up with the current leaders. He is only 48 points out of it. He has 5 top 3 finishes the last 6 races. There's 7 left, he has maintained his deficit since his parts failure which resulted in a crash a couple of weeks ago. There's nobody else in the field that could overcome that besides him and his teammate JJ. I'm not saying that to rattle people's cage's here. I'm saying the honest truth. We've seen Jimmie come from 130+ deficit in the old points formation. It can be done here in this day and age of NASCAR. You don't get 86 wins and 4 championships that easy, Now do you?
