Saw it on facebook, but considered it a rumor. Mike Joy, on Speed, said he verified it with TG... TG and his crew will be on Danica's car for 2013.

I really didn't doubt it, coming from Zippy. Especially since he said he couldn't comment on who Ryan might get because of still being under contract. You have to be open to change, if you stand still, you get left behind.

I'm very curious as to where the entire crew will come from for Ryan...

I wonder if they are coming from the Furniture Row team 78, they heard Regan was leaving and Kurt was taking over and they quit!! I know SHR shares a pit coach with Furniture Row, who knows, that could be what will happen.....And could you blame them?!

the 78's over the wall crew is an SHR crew

In fact the practice at the SHR shop on the SHR cars. They just pit during the races for the 78 team.
SHR pays them.

It is not that the pit crew quit either. They were hired and trained by SHR as well as practice at SHR. RCR has made it known that they have no intention of keeping them on, they will use their own pit crew for Kurt and I am sure that SHR had no intention of turning over their contract to RCR for those guys if they wanted to go knowing that Danica was coming onboard but not knowing which of the three SHR teams they could end up on.

Wow, I didn't know that Beave. Kinda weird though, as nothing had changed but the driver. Why didn't RCR have one of their crews on the 78 when Regan was driving?

SHR has had a pit crew there for about two years now. They had a contract directly with Furniture Row Racing. For the 2013 season that seems to be changing as they no longer want to absorb all the costs on their own and want to be more of a sponsor than a Team Owner / Sponsor...as I understand it. They were using SHR kind of like a subcontractor.

i was really hoping that the tuna was gonna replace chad, maybe then JJ can win 5 more championships

Interesting..........you might just be right. But Zippy said the new crew chief candidates are still under contract with other teams.....
