nfl................ refs, ravens, oh my......

boy did i see some lousy calls in 3 games i watched, most outstanding was the ravens/pats game, it seemed towards the end the ravens were getting penalties just for breathing, it was crazy, but it was good to see them over come that and win the game on a crazy FG.....

the bonus was seeing bellichick go nuts on the ref after the game grabbing at him...

Thanks for warning...it just means that my mother will pretty much be nuts this morning when I see her. She is a Pats Fan.

they defiantly need to get the old refs back, because it was a good game between two top teams

most important screw up call I saw was when they called defensive holding on a Pats CB that was non existent. That would have been 4th & long, instead it gave the Ravens a 1st down to where they drove down & scored a TD. to add insult to injury on that drive. Not only was the Dbs picking up penalties for being near a WR, but the WR then pushed off to get the TD. It was one of the most clueless ref'd games I ever saw LOL.
Thank god I wasnt a fan of either team.

my fav was the ravens coach yellin on the field towards the end of the game, then when he got a flag, he claimed he was trying to call time out....

I saw a new one on Sunday during Bears-Rams. Before making a ruling on the field the, the official states, "The previous play is under review." They went to the replay booth because the zebras couldn't figure out, (remember?) what happened!

i heard about that one, its like a comedy of errors,
this could be why ive been enjoying college ball this year, no silly mistakes, sitting there wondering if they are gonna call back a play...

I didn't see the ending(night shifter) so I missed the good stuff. Those refs are bad...no doubt.

It's a sad situation in the NFL right now. But since they're talking money, I don't see the league & owners in any rush to settle the walkout with the regular refs. Sad.

i agree the refs are bad, but i cant blame them, it sounds as if the NFL is trying to be a bully, they know they have a great product and they know fans will still watch regardless

The NFL is still making money hand over fist, so they aren't in a hurry to end the Ref lockout.
The Refs all have other jobs, so they aren't in a hurry to give in either. This may last all year long. Meanwhile, the NFL is making enough money back in fines that before the season ends, they will have made up the difference in cost to give the refs what they want!

People are calling the final play of the Green Bay-Seattle game, "The Fail Mary", and the catch "The Inaccurate Reception". Now that's funny!

CBS Sports is reporting an agreement has been reached and regular refs will be on hand for the Thursday night game! Hooray!
