POST LOUDON I GUESS!

This place has gotten real quiet! Oh well.............

Newman got a top 10 finish. I guess I'm cool with that. If that's his best track, not sure what to expect the rest of this season? :?

Denny was in another time zone. In my opinion, I really hate seeing only ONE car so well hooked up. How can you possibly race him? :?

Not much else to say about that race! :D I'm sure you guys can fill me in if I missed anything...... ;)

Re: POST LOUDON I GUESS!

OK so if Grubb brought over this Loudon setup from SHR to the 11 team, how is it that Hamlin's car is this much better than Tony and Ryan, not to mention Kyle Busch, Jimmie, etc.

Was I giving too much credit to Matt Borland and not Grubb? I hate to say it but it's just looking more and more like Grubb brings a lot more to the table than Addington, and obviously Tony G.

Re: POST LOUDON I GUESS!

I did get excited early on though when Tony grabbed the lead, and Ryan jumped up to 4th. But same old story, these SHR cars have been falling off into runs this year especially Ryan. Great to see them finish out top 10s but that is all you can say. Just a year ago both were dominant there and now look fairly tame....pretty sad. I guess there's just always going to be a limit to what a "satellite" team can do or how long they can hold on to a setup or advantage anywhere.

remember grubb spent all those years working with chad so it looks like it paid off......

frankly im bored talking about ryan, its the S.O.S every weekend, its not in my mentality to get jazzed about a top 10, but the important thing is everyone can go pick up some greasy artery clogged onions, at the end of the day, thats what its all about...

The only thing Tony G. brings to the table is his insatiable appetite and crappy car balance information! :D

Nascar has officially become a total mystery to me 8ballin! Is it set ups/driver/horse power/crew chief/chassis/magnetic pull/wind direction/what the driver ate/Arby's roast beef sale/PSY'S horse dance..............WHO KNOWS!

I know what your saying MJ. The emotional roller coaster has flown off the tracks for Newman love unless your a fan who is a fan regardless of the results. That's not me either I guess?

But, in order to talk on here. We have to say something or nothing at all. We have a lot of nothing at all that's for sure but life goes on! :)

I seldom if ever eat out and rarely go to Outback. Their food is great I know. Last time I went there was a in March of 2011. :)

I think that Nascar is constantly changing just as the weather constantly changes the race track grip.

Newman falls off quickly due to Tony G. can only fix one phase of cornering. He can get great enter, but maybe not center and off or visa versa. He just can't seem to get a comfortable workable enter, center, off! ;)

The weather conditions change seemingly dramatically when you race at a track twice a race season. Your set up that worked in spring may not work in fall or any combination weather wise.

Their theory is. Use the last known set up and tweak from there when in fact you may need a "dramatic" change the second time around? :? Chad K. knows this and is fearless when it comes to "out of the box" radical car balances! ;)

I think they all cheat at one time or another. It's only a matter of getting caught so that being said. It's how well you HIDE the cheating........... :D

Usually it's an opposing team that will "rat" you out(Brad K.)so loose lips sinks ships..........never give away your secrets! What a team would give for all of Chad K.'s secrets huh..............

Re: POST LOUDON I GUESS!

overall though can't be too negative, the 39's been outrunning several cars that made the chase these past few months. The problem of course, months April-July were just downright bad.

But have to say I'm happy to see Ryan mix it up with the leaders these last 2 weeks in these chase races, he is showing some fight there, I think Kyle Busch is the only other non-chase guy showing speed or looking like he's trying. Carl Edwards for example is still nowhere.

Unfortunately things don't look like they're changing anytime soon. Nascar really needs to do something about this chase schedule. These races have been terribly boring the past few weeks (Dover will likely be the same), it just makes no sense how they keep them the same every year. I don't buy into any reasoning on that issue from France, it's all driven by reasons other than fan interests of course.

Regarding Hamlin, honestly that guy may be the most talented overall driver in the sport, or equal to, Jimmie or Tony. He's at least the best right now at the flatter, more technical tracks. The media was always overshadowing him as Kyle Busch was constantly being hailed as the series greatest driver in history because he can win some truck races, but the reality is Kyle has never even been the best driver on his own team.

Perhaps, the 11 car setup is fairly the same as the SHR or HMS setup, and Denny just has a feel or helped make a change with Grubb that made it that much better.

Also though, I've been suspect of the Toyota cars for awhile now. They're so much stronger than last year, I almost think something in their motor or drivetrain, such as some kind of engine-braking setup deal where they can better roll the middle at tracks like this, or some rudimentary traction control system with the EFI that Nascar hasn't caught on to. For instance, just doesn't make sense that MWR is that much better, and a guy like Vickers can hop into the 55 and run this well, outrunning the Roush cars, Harvick, etc.

Denny Hamlin plays a lot of golf with Michael Waltrip...............hmmmmm mm I also think that Kyle has now become the step child of JGR.....not that he doesn't deserve it....but how many DNF's for mechanical issues can you excuse!

Jayski :Darien Grubb places hands over ESPN camera while they were attempting an interview on the pit box........What was he hiding?!?

Oh there's no doubt these race teams cheat! How? Because they get caught on occasion. We all know it or at least think it? Call it a conspiracy theory if you want......... :? ;)

When Newman was with Penske. I know Roger did not want any of his teams cheating in any way. Borland did get caught at least once I remember! Now that Ryan's with S/H. I doubt Tony Gibson has the creativity in cheating!

ALL Nascar drivers with at least 3 years under their belts can drive these race cars. Denny,Ryan,Johnson if they all could compete in exactly the same cars like an IROC......it would be a dead heat. Then you would know about a teams advantage for sure! :D

Denny had a dominate car at NH too, it just doesn't always work out. This week it did even though he had a bad starting spot. Sometimes you can overcome pit mistakes and sometimes you can't. This was his week. Personally, I think he's paid his dues, but, then again, I'm not the treasurer...

I honestly don't know what's the matter with Ryan or his team. Maybe it's nothing. He's getting a lot of top 10's. Some people would be grateful for that. Could be worse, he could be back there in 25th with the elf.

Darian was hiding what is nobody else's business. You do not come up behind a crew chief in the middle of a race with a camera. Bad form! He did nothing that any other crew chief wouldn't do. He was probably lucky, Chad may have tossed him over the side, and rightly so. I don't know any quality pit reporters that would climb up on a team's pit box without being invited.

The Toyotas have had a few engine failures this year, look at poor Kyle. The Fords have been fast too, especially when they got the new engines. We can debate it all we want, but dominance seems to cycle. I don't think SHR engines have been as fast as Hendricks. They might have the same engines, but they're worked on in their own shops. And handling plays a part.

And please, I'm only expressing my opinions with no basis in fact except for the elf in 25th and Denny's pit crew problems. Please find someone else ignorant this week. And no, I don't mean you chevy39fan :D
