Who WON'T win the chase

If anyone is counting, Tony finished once in the top 10, twice in the 11-19 range, and 5 times in 20th place or worse. That is HORRIBLE.

Unless Tony can duplicate last year, he's not going to win either & that thought kills me.

Out of all the drivers out there, I truly believe only 12 of them have a shot to win the cup after 1 Chase race (and I can prove it).

Too early to tell. Some are peaking now and some aren't. Luck has a lot to do with it. And you never know when some bonehead that isn't in the chase is going to wreck you. The one thing I would say is that if you came in without a win, you're pretty much out of it unless all the other chasers have a bad run of luck and the odds of that are slim to none.

On any given day, anyone can win, and vice versa. There are just too many variables, rain, wreck, fuel mileage, engine failure, parts failure, pit stop miscues, the list goes on and on...

Well I think any of them could still win it (mathematically) I have to agree I dont think Gordon will win it now. yes he is only 47 points out, & he has gained that on others in the past. Even to make the wild card. However this is the top 11 cars he has to pass. he doesnt have to gain these points on just a couple teams in the chase. he has to gain it on all of them. I dont believe everyone of them will have issues. so I dont think he gain those points on all 11 teams. (but there is always dega) If he was 3rd, 47 back I would say he still has a chance, but 12th 47 back. Dont think so. Although it would be a good story if he did it.

If Jr wins the championship, the world will declare it a national holiday.

If Tony can't win, I hope Kaz does. He is a novice compared to the rest of the field but he has been counted out before and look where he is. Just because it hasn't been done before doesn't mean he won't do it. I think he may be in the top 3 at least.

But I enjoyed reading your post and everyone's comments after it. I realize you made the disclaimer that your picks are for entertainment purposes only so that's how I am taking them and all of our "picks." No one knows for sure who won't be there in the end, but we can all make our own predictions.

Who would have predicted Kyle B. and Ryan N. wouldn't be in the running this year? Not me.

Right now Jeff Gordon and him have the same chance to win the championship: none whatsoever .

I know your a Gordon fanboy and whatever. And you will annoy us to death with that. But he has no chance to win the championship unless all 11 guys in front of him have trouble. And that is not going to happen! He is pretty much a race out of the lead and nearly half a race behind the 11th place car. He is going to be blessed to finish 10th at this point.

I don't think now's the time for something like this. I would think it's a bigger gamble in a way.

The chassis selections are on Jayski. Tony has a new one again this week but at least this one's been on the track for a test at Milwaukee. Ryan has the same chassis he won in at Loudon in July.
