POST CHICAGO!

Figures, Newman's not in the Chase and get's a top 5 finish finishing in P5! :D

I'm astonished Newman finished one spot ahead of the part owner and competitor......... 8-)

News Flash: Five times was strong with a second place finish...imagine that! Hamlin ran out of gas......Gordon with a DNF. :)

Newman is now 14TH in points. Nice job Team #39! :D

Ryan was leaving for some elk hunting he said in his post interview. :D

Re: POST CHICAGO!

Image this.....#14 Bass Pro Shop & #39 Real Tree. We would all have to go out & get some new & different camo, as well as some florescent orange! LOL

Would be kinda neat if the sponsors tied in like that! Guess we will just have to wait & see.

Re: POST CHICAGO!

that could be a conflict of interest to have real tree and bps as sponsors, kinda like if tony having mobil one, and tried to get quaker state for ryan, both companies wouldnt go for it,

i love sharing good news early in the morning, brings me joy :)

Re: POST CHICAGO!

"Real Tree" would be a logical fit for Newman no doubt! All those camouflaged paint schemes. I don't think Newman would care who would sponsor him.....as along as he gets a sponsor! :D

Re: POST CHICAGO!

Any time Real Tree sponsors a car I have a hard time finding it.

Must be going Elk hunting in Canada, eh? Sure won't find any in Lake Norman.

Great finish at Chicago. I kept witing for the fall back.

I know what you mean 39_newman. Isn't that a sad note but factual in waiting for Newman to go backwards. His fan base knows him pretty well!

His cars need more speed. How ever they can find it! ;)

We give him so much greif....In fact we gave him a copy of JJ's new book and a box of Kleenex.....such a sad story!!  Don't feel bad for him, he asks for most of it!! And trust me he gives a lot too!!

Not familiar with Fishers, Indiana, but lived in Bloomington and also Rantoul, Il. ( close to Indiana).. my dad used to hunt a lot when we lived in Bloomington, mostly quail and wild turkey.....

Re: POST CHICAGO!

well all the frustration about them not making the chase and what needs to change, honestly Ryan and this team have been running well these past few months, if it just weren't for Pablo and a careless JJ...

They didn't bring back one of Tony's old cars or anything, this was a new car from this year that was at Indy, Michigan, Pocono, and now is 4-for-4 in top 10s. So yes these guys must know what they are doing to some degree. From what I'm seeing the 39 typically has their own cars built or group of cars that they use, they don't really swap around with the 14? hmm....

Still hated that Ryan with 4 tires in 7th on one of the last restarts, couldn't really do more with the guys in front of him who all had 2 tires. Though Stewart couldn't do anything either, these cars were just too tight in the middle apparently.

But Ryan looked like he was competing hard, many big teams struggled again, I was probably wrong again to question his intensity/desire last week. He is hard to figure out though sometimes in that regard. Great job !

How did Fishers come up? Haven't lived there in awhile but I'm from just northwest of Indianapolis, Fishers is a suburb northeast of Indy. Noblesville is a separate town but in same county, Fishers was small back in the day but now is a pretty big community and very nice there.

I brought it up with Annalee who I believe is living in Indiana? :D

My sister has lived in Indiana for many years. Noblesville is now Fishers from what I have been told by my sis. My bro in law was the President of the Indiana Deer Hunting Association years ago. Not sure if he still is or not? :?

I'm a Buckeye born and raised. Ohio is alright with me. :D
