OK--actually I guess you are right as I find myself criticizing Danicas crew now but its tough not to say anything sometimes. The issue here is I watch Danica and her crew more then Ryan and his crew and since he doesnt say anything in the open, Iam not seeing all the problems with Ryans crew that many of you apparently see. I do see Danicas lousy car setups race after race, 18 to 20 second pit stops etc and as Nascar even comments on how bad her car is and showing in car camera at her fighting the wheel so bad race after race. Therefore thats fairly accurate info iam going on, whereby Ryans issues are just what I see from most of you but-- OK--I guess we all complain.

The difference is Danica will say when her car wasnt/isnt good when interviewed and over her radio so at least she says something so the team definately knows it, and thats NOT whinning, its telling them like it is, which as ive said almost all the drivers do at some point.

A lot of her ill handling car is the way she is driving it. At Atlanta when she was complainig about being loose the whole race. She didnt want to come off the bottom or adjust her driving style. Eury Jr. told her all they were doing was tightening up her car & she was still saying it was loose. They told her to drive the corners a certain way. Finally when she did,a couple laps later, she came back on the radio & said she was tight LOL.
So some of it might be a bad car at times, but some of the times it is her driving that creates the condition. At this level of racing all drivers search for lines that makes the car respond.
Although to your point I do hear some things from Eury Jr. that if I were a Danica fan I wouldnt be to happy with. They do tell her things I think to myself. If this wasnt high profile Danica in the seat would they tell another new(er) driver these things? I do maintain her spotter is awesome, if she just listens to him she will be fine.

Well I dont think they would make a change until he was out of the chase. So if he loses tonight, & (in my dreams) they were thinking of making changes. Why not do it this season, to get acclimated with the team, before next season.

& yes MJ, I know Gumby is here to stay!

I really do believe that if they miss the chase that we are going to see a change happen. I understand some of the Newman fans frustration over this (to be honest I thought there was going to a crew chief change a long time ago). The 39 team is a weird team. I think mediocre is a bit much. Gibson is mediocre though. They are too inconsistent. The pit crew is not very good. And Newman and Gibson have lost any chemistry they have. Though if Newman keeps saying that he wants Gibson to be his crew chief one has to question if he even knows what he want and question his judgement.

Dale jr fought tooth & nail to keep Eury Jr. as his CC & guess what. Mr. Hendrick said no we are making a change. I am pretty sure this was a good move for Dale jr. & I never hear you question Dale Jr. I think you want your drivers to be loyal, but as an owner you have to be able to make the changes anyways.
BTW I dont hear to many Danica fans saying many nice things about Eury now. Imagine if Dale Jr. & Eury were on the 39 team owned by SHR. Dale Jr. fans would also be screaming for a CC change. I know this because I remember when it was happening. Same thing here. Only it isnt in the press 70 times a day, because the media doesnt follow Ryan like they do Dale. So the fans that follow "the broadcast" doesnt know of the issues the rest of us know. maybe Rick can give tony some ownership advice

Jr's situation is a little different to be fair. Tony Eury Jr is his cousin. Pretty much his brother. They have known each other since they were kids. That was probably more tough personally than it was professionally.

Your right though, because it was Jr who had the bad cc, it was talked about way more and we heard more fans wanting Eury Jr gone. I very much wanted Eury Jr gone too. Tony is a fantastic owner clearly as he learned from Joe Gibbs. I would never question what business decisions he does because he always ends up on top. I am sure he has something in the works for Ryan. And there is some reason Gibson is still there. It's just hard to say since we only know what they want us to know or what see on t.v or what we hear n the scanners.
