PRE RICHMOND GO OR GO HOME SO TO SPEAK!

Every race teams goal should be making the Chase. But, only 12 teams have that opportunity. You can count on one hand the race teams that really have a chance at getting into the Chase. The rest may luck out every once in a while. ;)

Since I'm a Team #39 fan. I concentrate only on that team. They collectively have one win that in all honesty was simply being in the right place at the right time. Ryan has no poles this year if you can believe it. I can't say they have been consistent or highly competitive. Have I witnessed any improvements? No I have not. Solutions can only be put in place by the owners. Ryan can suggest but he's an employee of S/H so his authority is very limited. 8-)

If Team #39 does not get an entry into this years Chase. It doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It means they can not compete for this years Championship. True anything can happen and will no doubt.

I'm not trying to step on any toes here but my question is. Has Newman's move to S/H improved his racing career? He left Penske to be more competitive. Was the grass any greener or the same color? :?

Newmans Richmond numbers are:STARTS:10/21/5/23/13/18/12......FINISHES:4/10/8/11/20/8/15
One win back in 2003(the good old days)

Practice is this Friday at 12noon and 2:30PM(ET) with quals at 5:30PM(ET)........race is Saturday at 7:00PM(ET)

Career stats for Ryan: 16wins/84 top 5's/160 top 10's.....49 poles

Currently Newman is 17TH in points.

I guess I'm glad Ryan got a contract. His salary is rumored to be about $8,000,000.00 per year. Not bad huh........... ;) With his partial sponsorship next year. Can S/H afford Newman's asking price? :?

I only hope some improvements are made for 2013 otherwise it will be just like this year.

Stewart lost Office Depot as we all know. That will hurt the S/H team as far as the 14 and the 39. It has been said that Office Depot was spending about $900,000.00 per race.(22 races) Danica is fully sponsored. :D

My Nascar sources say Newman has made many enemies this year and they feel he will get spun out this Saturday? Not sure about that............. 8-)

Had no idea, $900,000.00 per race.......well that let's out the Garage Gang for pitching in a few dollars for a one race deal!  Really I knew it was expensive but not that expensive...Yikes.

8 million dollar salary .........for one year of doing something you love so much you would probably do it for free!!! I think he better step up the blooming onion business and start popping them out once a week... No wonder they were looking at Kurt Busch.......probably could have gotten him for a $1.50 a race .........$2.00 for Daytona    my sides hurt!!

Thought it was 250k per race, not counting driver salary and % of winnings? ####,if it's what you've heard, i sure as #### wouldn't sponsor a cup team no matter how rich i was,i'd eventually grow broke.8mill is alot of money to drive a race car,i wonder how much JJ or Jr.makes :?:
Harvick may as well bring the #29 with him,he's bringing all the sponsors!

I get a lot of information off of internet radio. Mainly goprn.com. They are pretty well connected with Nascar. :D

Sponsors spend a ton of money so you can understand their very selective. It has to be a justifiable advertising expense and exposure of their particular product or services. :D

Re: PRE RICHMOND GO OR GO HOME SO TO SPEAK!

On a recent list of how much some drivers make Dale Jr was mentioned near the top with around 22 million a yr course how much of that is endorsements as they didnt seperate driver pay just the totals earned, and then there is 5 time and 4 time and also how much does Smoke pay himself?? Is 8 million a yr for Ryan high, not if alot of that is endorsements, however they figure that, but if that is just driver pay then Iam surprised, course i dont know what other drivers make in comparison for just driving, just some totals as mentioned. Other drivers mentioned like a Kurt Busch are practically driving for free, course hes alreadly made millions so he probably doesnt care? Lots of others like an Amirola or Burton, Ragan, Mc Murry etc, drivers out of the top 15 or 20 I'll bet arent making millions and how much does Trevor make for every Cup race being PT--$5 ?

In 2011 Danica made $12 million reportedly and thats just PT NNS and Indycar but lots of endorsements, so have to wonder what shes making this yr with FT NNS and PT Cup not to mention what she will make next yr in FT Cup, PT NNS? I heard a rumored figure of Godaddy paying around $25 million for FT cup and PT NNS, but sounds high, but not confirmed either, but like I said, they always over pay for Danica so wouldnt surprise me?

Nascar is probably the most expensive series on the planet and why they need to cut costs per lots of complaints and issues that wont fix themselves without action. 8-)
