What happened to the website??..........

only happened last Friday or was it Saturday...maybe both, but not since.

lucky you Beav, i've probably logged on 15-20 times in the last 30 minutes alone, well on the bright side I won't forget my password and what not any time soon.

There was something I read recently about an anti-virus program that was interfering with some websites when logging on. I do not remember the name of the program.

The one I use just did an upgrade to something similar so that social media and other websites can't track your movements unless you let them. At first it removed all of my saved passwords and logins, good thing for the little black book for each website. What a freakin' nighmare otherwise. It still was to some extent, but to think of how much worse it could have been without that little black book. I don't use the same login and password for my websites. That is just an absolute no no.

I don't use the same passwords either, and the only anti-virus i have on my laptop is Microsoft Security Essentials, its a free anti-virus from microsoft themselves, but i've never had any issues in the past. I would have to assume that its acctually my computer, I have an old IBM Thinkpad T43, manufacture date was October of 2003, and am still running Windows XP, it works good for what i use it for though.

I am on Windows 7 with 250gb internal hard drive and 500gb external hard drive. It is an HP Business Machine and I need to replace the external hard drive which I have had for 2.5 years. I operate two businesses with it, plus multiple committees for town government. She gets a workout. It is only 2.5 years old and have only had one issue with it and HP dealt with it no questions asked. I had the thing for only four months at the time when the battery quit. My wife also a HP an it has been to the repair shop a multiple of times, but they fixed no charge each time...always get the extended warrantee with accidental damage. Strawberry milk is not nice to computers. Since the warrantee ran out, no issues that I am aware of ... and I am knocking on wood. Her computer is from 2007.

That's what happens when you are dealing with a membership of more than 5700 as to which I have to wonder how many of those are spammers after recent days.

There was a comment, can't remember by who at the moment, that said that if you see a country with a state then you know it is a spammer. I am sorry, but that is not always the case because in Maine, New Hampshire, & Vermont we have actually named several towns after Countries and Cities from other parts of the world like: Norway, Sweden, China, Berlin, Paris, Wales, Peru, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Cuba, Syria, Sudan, and the list just goes on...but I think you get the idea here.

I was just looking at the website this morning and man was there a lot of spam. However, I noticed something else...more than 2000 people have been dropped from the rolls of membership to the site. It went from over 5800 down to less than 3750.

I just looked at the members list and it is down to 2829 members
