RACE HUB......RYAN's CONTRACT

Race hub just said that SHR has a one year contract for Ryan.........happy dance time!! Thanks SHR

I'm guessing it's 1 year due to sponsorship. I missed Race Hub today, but am a little surprised they didn't mention if they have additional sponsors for him. Do crew chiefs have contracts also? Would be nice if TG got the boot...

I too would like to see TG go. I would also like to see Tony talk Home Depot into full sponsorship on his car and put co-sponsorship on Ryan's #39.

Another year of Ryan on a crap team!

Before anyone tells me to keep a positive attitude because anything can happen & we dont know if changes are coming. Which could be true, but I have done that every year he has been with SHR & no major changes has happened ever in any of those years, so save the comment for someone that is willing to listen to it!

Guess SHR realized they neeed Ryan to help Danica's Learning curve in cup, since it is his set ups she relies on. The following year she can go off her own notes.

Actually as i had commented earlier I heard early on they are using Ryans car to setup Danicas, I've realized also by the end of the this season they will have a fair idea of what kind of setup works for her. the problem always is--to be able to adjust it for each track conditions and Ryan probably helps with that I imagine so Its good that Ryan will be there another yr. The bigger question is, will the co owner of SHR Tony be running a PT schedule or a tight pocket book with losing one of his main sponsors? It might be tough this late to find a good PT primary sponsor for next yr unless he gets a bunch of smaller ones, course being who he is it shouldnt be an issue but nowdays you just never know. Also I wouldnt bet the farm just yet on how Danica's contract for Cup next yr will turn out with running the PT NNs races as well, she may have some other pt primary sponsors for her as well? Being her last contract yr for Godaddy next yr it certainly isnt going to be a multi yr deal with them as primary sponsor the more I think about it, but I wouldnt be surprised at anything nowdays?

well if you are to believe Tony. Danica is running a full Cup schedule next year.

you know me i have felt since day one that ryan is a dead man walking at SHR with the addition of danica ( not her fault ) and if he has a 1 year deal this just proves it, do you really think SCH that SHR will make any changes now??? heck no, it will be known as ryan's lame duck season, it would make me so much happier if jr and ryan ( my nascar fantasy ) switched spots, cuz MR H would make sure ryan had the tools to win.

I dont allow myself to think of those things. Ryan has never been on a top team & he never will be on a top team, so that sucks but why tease myself.

BTW if I thought they would make changes to the 39 team I wouldnt be so mad. I would actually have something to be excited about. but you know the old saying of fool once, fool me twice routine. I mean how many years in a row can you say "no way they leave the team the same! Has to be changes coming"

Ryan's contract was NOT announced on Race Hub yesterday. It was speculation ONLY by Matt Clark regarding drivers and their possible teams for next year. While the 1-year contract may indeed come to pass, it is not yet official.

i watched the hub last nite and i didnt see anything, so i thought i missed a segment, plus i didnt see anythin on the web about it, last nite or this morning, not even jayski, and he will put up most rumors
