it isnt good.. Jeff Gordon is in the wild card.. Finally, he broke his bad luck and I think he made Chase.. Kasey has 2 wins.. That is pity, I want see Ryan and Jeff in Chase..

actually the tie breaker went all the way down to wwho had the most 5th place finishes.
that isnt an issue to me. Gordonss team can pile on the points & with the glen next. Jeff will be a contender to win while Ryan will be a contender for a top 10. I was more comfortable battling Kyle for the final spot.
I would say Ryan needs to win again now to get in. Not to sure he can outpoint Jeff the rest of the way.

I agree.. Team 24 only needs to break bad luck.. I dont care about Carl, Kyle or Joey, because Carl is factor only every 3 years, when kyle is struggling and he dosnt brake it and Joey isnt factor.. I was only afraid if Jeff won race.. That is pity, because team 39 is doing good job..

On other hand, I am Jeff Gordons fan too and I am happy for him..

It's in Tony's best interest helping Team #39 get in the Chase. He makes more money plus Newman represents his company. Especially after Newman loosing the U.S.Army sponsorship. (I don't blame Ryan for that.) It was political.

Nascar is doing their best to get their most popular drivers in the mix very obviously.

That's the thing about Nascar. You have to run the races to see what happens. So, in knowing that. I have no clue if Newman will make the Chase?

Yes I would love to see Ryan win every race and get into every Chase but I have always been a realist with a slight pessimistic slant to my writing. Your never disappointed with that kind of attitude!

I know for a fact finally that S/H is paying a little attention to Team #39 right now on orders from the owners! Heard it through the Nascar "grapevine." That gives me hope. I will await in seeing the results with my own eyes!

no politics in it, even a member here said that army was backing out at the end of this year as far as nascar went, its been 3 weeks since congress ok'd the bill allowing sponsorship to continue in motorsports, and you didnt hear one word about the army coming back, you never heard tony say " now we can resign them." but rather would talk about finding a sponsor, when you go from 26 races in the first year, to 14 in the last, it was obvious they werent going to stick around much longer, all things come to an end

I am curious what news you heard through the grapevine. Dont leave me in suspense.

It is bad that NASCAR gave the Pocono win to Jeff, because there is no way Ryan could keep up with Jeff in a point battle. However There is still a good shot Ryan could make the Chase. This could be a little optimistic on my part, but we are heading into a stretch of the season where Gordon can really kick some tail. He could rack up alot of wins and great finishes. There are guys in the top 10 in points with no wins that Gordon could possibly push out of the top 10. Then there is the off chance that the bad luck that has plaqued the 24 will return. #### if it had not been for the gift wrapping of the Pocono win by NASCAR chances are Jeff would not have won it.

I will not give up hope till he is mathematically eliminated
