Any ideas or want to help...

While inviting some of our daughters friends for her birthday party...we learned an interesting piece of information. One of her friends father who works at the local fire department part-time also works with NASCAR on the Fire Suppression Teams. He told me he was there when JPM took out the jet drier earlier this year. He said he knows most of the drivers and most of them are really down to early decent people...key here is most.

He said that Danica is much friendlier with the kids than the adults. From what I have heard and in her own public statements, this is not a huge surprise

The day has finally arrived...we are pretty much set...guests will start arriving soon...our daughter is excited...she invited 14 friends and 13 accepted and that is way more than we thought would say yes.

Last year she invited the same number, but some the same and some new and only four said they would come. What a difference. Her birthday party this year will be some exciting for her. She has some exciting pieces of Danica memorabilia.

I would like to thank those that contributed ideas and items. You know who you are. It has been greatly appreciated.

Well we survived another birthday party. We went through all the watermelon fruit salad that we refilled once, 2.5 pizzas, more than 2 gallons of kool-aid, 1/2 gallon of ice tea, a gallon of water, and one ice cream cake shared amongst 17 people in temps between 89 and 92 degrees for three hours.

We had to change our plans for games and where some of the activities would take place. We split some of the time inside and outside.

Sounds like it was a full day... time for a nap!

Once we explained to her that so much of these things came from members of the Club from around the country...she was some surprised.

She wanted me pass a huge thanks to everybody for making her day so much fun.
