I heard that today too, but he said that was just the latest rumor. Matt's deal has been done for a while now. Unless he just threw "toyota" at Jack to tick him off, I don't think much of this (doesn't seem like something Matty would do). It's all speculation till it's announced.

Yeah and maybe even a fourth car that pieces together sponsorship for Ryan. I give this rumor about 40% of a chance of happening. Home Depot can't be happy not being able to contend for championships anymore. #### JGR can't even win a championship with Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin who are two of the best in the sport.

I agree it is Home Depot & will be with JGR.
but if for some reason, the world turned upside down & it was SHR, Ryan would already be considered gone. Then it would still be a possibility for Ryan to land at JGR. Where they seem to have a plethora of good people to put on race teams. (like a never ending supply it seems)

I think Matt was smart to run to JGR personally.

I think the reason it is taking Matt so long to announce his deal is that someone may get canned. If it is JGR then they are looking to see what they are going to do with Logano. If it is SHR then they are probably seeing if they could piece something for Ryan.

Remember Home Depot has strong ties with Tony. I wish Matt would announce this soon and get this over with.

yeah I dont think matt will make his announcement with JGR/HD until JGR knows whats happening with Logano. Since they are still trying to sign Logano.

Based on this new rumor I am not so sure that him going to JGR is a sure thing. I say he has a 60% chance of going there.

when this all went down a few weeks ago, they were saying an announcement would be made as earlier as indy, heard that on the hub...

I have said in previous posts, that Matt might be coming to SHR...... did not have the sponsor of Home Depot, but I think that could be a good option.....Tony was good friends with Bob Nardelli when he ran Home Depot and since then they have been in the winner's circle one time and that was a Zippy win! If both HD and Go Daddy are sponsors there are quite a few options there for Ryan, if they can't find others.
The announcement was to be made after Indy, which leads me down the Andretti scenario....with a possible Petty alliance. Andretti Motors is based in Indianapolis......possiblity??

No matter where Matt lands, that team should consider themselves very lucky! He is a real class act, great driver and all around good guy!

I agree with all about Matt. This is a great driver, he has a smooth personality, he can "have at it if necessary", and he can get the job done without a huge commotion. If people think he can be used they are wrong. Matt is a person who can get his job done while helping out the other guy. If Rousch makes any cracks about anything against Matt beyond the "dark" business then he is just a plain jerk.

That WON'T happen SS14.....Tony's NOT goin to give up Krissie's Home-Made-Cookies for Matt K......... Besides, SHR is not ready for a 3rd Team....
