He drove an awesome race. He's gonna be a factor for this championship without a doubt.

That being said...

This is such a disappointment it's unreal. That's the best car he has had since he's been with SHR, one of the best he's ever had in his Cup career, and they gave it away. Oh well. #### happens. On to Bristol.

Like he said in the post-race interview - "we gave one away today."

But still, considering the pit road penalty, a 2nd place finish is really good. I know, this was probably his best chance to finally win one in LV, but he is now leading in the points Nothin' wrong with that.

Now, an extra week to pull things together and it's on to Bristol.

I think it hit him harder because he led for so long and because he's never won at Vegas. But gosh, he has to take consolation from being first in points now.

Tony you did well on several levels today. You not only led laps, you led the most laps. You started 15th, fell to something like 23rd because of a penalty and worked your way up to 2nd. You led at least 164 laps. You are leading in points. These are all positive things that happened today.

No disrespect intended, but how in the #### is leading the points three races into a 36-race season consolation for losing a race you dominated like that?

Gosh, soooooo close another lap or 2 and Tony would have won. He deserved it. Both he and Ryan top 5 in points, off to an excellent start.

Aww, Tony was PO'd , but his 2nd interview on Speed was a little better.

The more I think about this the more it pisses me off. After the race I was like "bummer" Now I am getting fired up.

I had a chance to work today (wasn't schduled but was asked) and declined. Now I really wish I had worked from 1 to 9 rather then watch him dominate and finish 2nd.

Tony could have won all three races this year. They shot themselves in the foot two weeks in a row.

It's cool he is leading points but who cares? I guess the thing we can all take from this is that there are 33 races left 33 more chances to win and he is faster out of the gate then ever.

I was amazed at Tony's Great re starts. He usually isn't very good at that. He was awesome today everytime. I was very proud to be a Fan today.

drivers dominate races a lot without winning them, dominate seasons without winning championships as well, and they don't win championships in the 1st 3 weeks of the season either.
Shoot, Kenseth won a cup title winning only 1 race in a entire season.
Carl and Kyle won 8 races each in a season and didn't even win a championship.

but you folks already knew this...............
