NEWMAN AWARDED SIDE POLE/STEWART TO THE REAR!

Just when you have head it all. Tony was disallowed his qualifying run by a post Nascar inspection technicality. So Newman was awarded P2 or side pole for tonight's race! Not a big deal in this sort of race but improves his pit selection in which if you notice. Newman never seems to take the qualifying equal pit selection stall. Why? I have no idea!

Stewart will have to start in the rear of the field. He's fast so that's not an issue! I was hoping the 14/39 would work as a team?

When they have worked together in the past...nothing good ever comes from it. While I hate the fact that Tony was sent to the rear...there is something that is worse. There is a good chance that Ryan has been hung out to dry with JG behind KK if MK takes the outside so he can team up teammate GB. This leaves Ryan with no drafting partner from the inside.

Ryan will find someone, last nite there were pairs I never dreamed of....who would have thought of Kurt and Austin.......actually I think Tony starting in the back is okay too!! It gives him him a target to head for kinda like Homestead...really where you start and your pit stall are not that important, nice to have but what is more Important.........SURVIVAL!!!!!!!!!!

Often times Tony hangs in the back during plate races anyways. So I am sure it doesnt bother Smoke, except for losing his pick of pit stalls, which isnt usually to big of a concern on the plate tracks with such big stalls.

like they say "doesnt matter where ya start on a plate track." i have no expectations for tonite, im sure tuna will find a way to mess up ryan and still have his job come monday,

Seen years and years of Newman in these kind of races to get all pumped up over!

Chances are he will slide to the rear with no drafting help by lap 5!

seems like in recent years when he is a threat to win it, he will be up front & get wiped out with less than 5 laps to go.
Until I see him cross the checkers, I always assume the wreck is looming to wipe him out.
His (bad) luck is amazing on these plate tracks!

for me to say i have no expectations means, im not going to work myself up in thinking "oh this is the nite." when the last 6-8 weeks the team only showed how they can let another race get away... it really has nothing to with faith, i have all the faith in the world in ryan but no faith in the characters SHR has on the 39 team..
