Well given current situations in the NASCAR world my wish could come true MAYBE............
The U.S. ARMY has decided to leave NASCAR. I guess it was just a matter of time before that happened anyway. Every year they have cut their number of races in half thanks to this congress man. With no ARMY sponcership for Ryan that leaves a big hole at SHR. So unless one of Ryan's current sponcers steps up and becomes a primary and takes more races or SHR can attract new sponcership in an economy where sponsership is hard to come by, then chances are Ryan will be forced to go elsewhere.
There are not really any quality seats open as things stand now, and three top drivers looking for new rides. The #1 free agent Matt Kenseth has already found a ride either with JGR or the rumored Andretti team that could be coming to NASCAR. Either way that is one less seat for Ryan to move into. So after Matt I'm not sure who would be considered the #1 free agent Ryan or Kurt. I would say Ryan since Kurt is an ####, but Kurt is a former champ so that could propel him to #1 despite his attitude.
Depending on how things work out with this whole Dinger drug test thing, the 22 may be an open seat. I don't believe for a second that A.J. is a druggy, but then I didn't think Mayfield was either and we all know how that turned out. Pass or Fail it is not known if A.J. will return next year. He has not been happy with the way things are going for him at Penske (not sure why, he has qualified well, ran well, but finishes don't reflect the way he has run) Now if A.J. does go that leaves another seat, and a limited number of drivers to fill it. Both Ryan and Kurt have already driven for Roger Penske and I would have to say (even if the split with Ryan was not a friendly one) after what Kurt did Ryan would be the better pick for Roger to fill the 22 seat. Only problem I can find in this theory is that Roger has a hard on for Sam Hornish Jr. and could move him back up from the NW series to pilot the 22 full time. Of course it is no Known what will happen to A.J. so this whole thing is wishfull hoping and speculation.
The thing that bothers me the most about all this is the fact there are no rides, no sponsorship, and a few drivers looking to move on much like last years silly season. I have a really bad feeling that Ryan could end up being this years Elliot Sadler (left without a cup ride and forced to go to the NW series), or even worse this years Brian Vickers (left with no ride at all in any series)
"He makes me look thinner" Tony on why he picked Ryan to be his team mate. bet he's gonna enjoy his fair share of Krissie's cookies every weekend lol
