What would you do?

If you could be the all powerful boss of NASCAR for one day, what would you do?

My answer: Without jeopardizing safety, I would ease up on the technical rules to allow teams to have more freedom in making their cars more competitive. In other words, allow the cars to loose the cookie cutter model so teams have more room to be creative with their cars.

That's a great concept that is racing the family car. I heard Richard Petty say once that he had to be careful of his car as he wouldn't have a ride home. With all the fancy scmancy things they have now wouldn't it be fun to see Tony out driving a 57 Chevy and Jeff Gordon in say a 63 Mustang? Now that would be a real concept of NASCAR. Lets throw in a 38 Ford for Jimmie Johnson just so Chad would go berzerk trying to figure out what is under the hood. I'd spend my last dime to see that race. Oh yes people it's those very cars I used to see drag the Ave in my home town.
