tg is a fraud............ i was watching old clips of races today, even with the 12 car ryan had more consistent runs then he has had with the 39, of course when ryan does good with the 39, it is he and his talent that bail out those bums, sorry i dont sugar coat things and say "well next week will get better," cuz it never does

as i am writing this i am thinking of a man a few years ago who was CC for the 21 car "fatback" mcswain, now there was a CC that stood up for his driver, he never sugar coated anything, and most importantly, never made excuses, too bad he isnt around anymore.

Fatback McSwain was fired from JGR for being to hard on the pit crew, I think it was Bobby Labonte 's. I don't know the particular reason. Then he had back surgery, and I don't think he came back and sort of gave up on being a crew chief to stay home with his family and health issues. Haven't
heard anything about him since.

Matt Borland was Ryan's CC when drove the 12 car and so he is right there at SHR to help

his last job was with the 21 bein CC for Kenny Schrader and John Wood, he retired after the 2007 season, he felt family, friends and health was more important than being a CC.

I still think Bootie Barker would be a good fit with the 39 team.....Has an engineering degree like Ryan and "Bless his heart", he's stuck with Casey Mears and that f*cking GEICO lizard. .....

Robert "Bootie" Barker graduated from Old Dominion University in 1994 with a degree in mechanical engineering, but began his motorsports career working on Late Models for Ashton Lewis while still in college.

Barker worked for NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner Kurt Roehrig before joining the No. 22 BDR Cup team in 1998.

After joining the No. 24 Hendrick team in the fall of 1999, Barker helped Jeff Gordon register five Cup wins before getting his first shot at guiding the No. 23 Busch team as crew chief.

Gibson isn't as bad as most make him out to be. But at the same token, he needs to go or go home. But if Ryan likes him and thinks that he isn't the problem then constantly bashing him does nothing. I've said it and I will say it again. It is up to Newman if Gibson will be gone. Could be a moot point as he might be elsewhere next year.

I think Tony Gibson may have had a good feel for the older stock cars but not a clue with these newer stock cars in my humble opinion!

Newman isn't even qualifying as good as he use to........
