As far as Marty Smith. He doesnt like Ryan either. I remember him & a couple other media guys applauding JPM for spinning out Ryan.
The Media gets in a rut & never changes their way of thinking or atleast very slow too change.
Ryan got a rep early on for not allowing cars to freely pass him. He honestly does understand big picture racing more nowadays, but that is never pointed out. Just when he is racing hard they go back to talking about him as if it is his early days. Meanwhile if it is a different driver the perception is completely different. So I usually dismiss anything the media says about a situation, because the more you know about the sport, usually the more obvious you realize how dumb most of these media people are to the sport or the situations. Then you add in the casual fan who throws out the typical they know more than we do statement so I will trust what they say over you, comments. trust me, the media only uses part truths (at best) when they are talking crap on TV (radios etc...)
So I am not really interested in the media BS about how Ryan lost the race for JJ (which btw is a joke to even consider)
I am interested in if JJ said something & if so what exactly he said. He has never said anything good about Ryan, so I wouldnt be expecting all puppy dogs & smiles, but would be shocked if he really does blame Ryan for the Loss.
