I have a question
do I need to make appointments or be included in a tour bus to go visit the race shops around Charlotte? I would rather just show up and see them on our own schedule. I called SHR yesterday and the girl said they have a viewing window and a shop, Hendricks phone number didn't work, ( chad's probably putting illegal mods to it)
any help will be appriciated

If you are going in your car No you dont have to make any Appointments.

For the tour bus i dont know much about them.

Most of the shops are near each other.The only shops that are pretty far is MWR JOE GIBBS RCR MWR and RCR you pay to get in. MWR shows you a tour and RCR is BIG.You need to go there when you can spend Hours and Hours in there.

right on, thanks, I have rented a car, arriving in Charlotte on May 21, stay ing in the camp ground across the street fom the track, so we will have 4 days to check stuff out plus we have a GPS.
well this is good news, I like to not have a schedule since well, it is a vacation right. what else does any one recommend while we are there? BTW, I plan on going to the dirt track on Friday night, that will be cool.

If you don't mind the drive, you could always check out the Darlington Track in South Carolina, just to say you were there.

OO, & one more place ya got to go too, just up the road from the campgrounds. Quaker Stake & lube restaurant. It's all decked out in Nascar stuff. Realy Cool place to eat Good food too!!!!!

Just ask ur Nascar neighbor's in the campground's, they'll know where it's at

Edit::::: Take a Sharpie with ya to Quaker Stake & lube, cause alot of the pit crews stop in for lunch!!!!! U just might see some drivers there too

Oh yea!! I forgot to tell you that you go in a big circle to get to some of these places.
