Biffle thinks Tony can win 12-15 races,says 39 is strong too

In a world where teams are in such a tight spot with aero being concerned, a creative shock package that works can put you lightyears away from the competition.

Remember the famous T REex car that Jeff Gordon ran during the 1998 All star race? After he whooped everyone's @$$es Rya Evernham revealed that a very crazy shock package was created for that car.

Shocks dictate how a car handles through the corner. When you see a team dominate on a track 1.5 miles in length or bigger, it usually means that they have an excellent shock package.

I think ,but I am not quite sure that he started helping Tony, right after the night race at Bristol, that was just before he started into the 2011 chase. And we all know how that ended!

It all makes sense, Tony finished 3rd at Atlanta the race after Bristol and only recorded five finishes outside the top ten going to this season since.

JGR isn't doing all that well, and I think Dr. Who, wanted to be to be at SHR with all the people he worked with before. They all are best buddies. Besides they probably added some better monetary incentive. Tony is not only one of the greatest racer car drivers ever, but he is a business man extrodinaire. He knows his business, and goes after what he needs and wants.

If anyone believes in Natural selection, then Tony Stewart is the chosen one. Not many can do what he has done. Win championships in each series he has raced in fulltime, own 50% of a cup team and still win races and championships. Have a 2nd car that wins and makes the chase. Own 12 multi million dollar businesses. And keeps on being successful. Kevin Harvick said that owning a nationwide team was a distraction. And Tony owns a cup team and is on top of his game right now.

Really with all the rules & templates nowadays. Aero is kinda put into a box so not much you can do there. Puts so much more emphasis on shock specialists. Motors are still a bit different, so those & shocks is the major difference makers to me. (& whoever figures out an advantage to EFI 1st before nascar catches on)

After reading his resume, I am kinda surprised that toyota let him get away.

Yeah but I just read on here how he was the guy helping Toyota as a whole while working for JGR. So even if Gibbs said I dont want to pay (whatever they get paid) you woulld have thought that Toyota might have helped out instead of letting the guru go to a Chevy team. Unless I read it wrong?

You read it right, Dr. Who was at JGRs for 12 years and if Toyota was smart, they should have paid him to stay. He was helping the other Yota teams and it probably was making him craaaaazy. (Are the Mechanics and shock guys on contract too?) But then again, he's a Chevy man, just like Tony. Oh, how it killed me when they went Toyota. I could not stand to see Tony in a Yota! Maybe it took a year or two before Tony could snaggle Dr. Who. Obviously Tony appreciated the man and his talent. Good to see these days!!

I thought it was funny when Tony raced for Toyota, but he was in a commercial (think it was a Wax commercial) staring at a Chevy Corvette LOL.

It was an Armoral commercial, yeah with the two girls climbing all over him and he's just standing there looking at his Corvette and how beautiful it looked. Armoral sponsors his dirt teams and so does Chevy, that's why when Gibbs went to Toyota, it was a real conflict for him and his sponsors. He's a Chevy man through and through. I'm just glad he's back in a Chevy!!

I had seen Ronny in the 14 garage stall a couple times but I never realized it was because he was WITH SHR. I thought he was just visiting Smoke and chewing the fat. That's pretty awesome.

I believe Tony knew all along who he'd eventually hire for SHR. It just took time as he couldn't just destroy Gibbs racing by getting the guys all at once. Gibbs didn't do so bad either as he got a championship crew chief for Denny and probably loosen up his payroll. It took Tony just three seasons to get the ducks in a row and are they ever....Tony has been making business decisions for his business ventures for years and he knows what he is doing. I'd love to talk to Gene Haas and ask him if he believed it wouldn't take long to be on top. My guess is he is one happy camper.
