Pheonix race

WOW IMO that was one #### of a race today..... very competitive. Congrats to Jeff Gordon and his team for finally finding his way back to victory lane after two years.

It was also a great run for both our SHR boys. Sorry the two tire call didn't work out for Tony (pretty gutsy call w/ more than 20 laps remaining) Both our boys were running top ten all day, and up front leading laps so that was really nice to see. They both find themselves in the top 10 in points (I know it's early yet but still a great start to the season)

And how about Ryan getting through the "Big One" w/ minimal damage? That was a nice piece of driving right there. He was right there when it happened cars were spinning all around him including the 1 of Jamie Mac spinning right around his nose, yet he had the car woed down far enough that the hit was a minor one. Too bad he doesn't have that kind of luck to avoid that kinda stuff at Daytona, He could have won that race and be leading the points right now. OH well he's pretty close to that now.

One more thing.... It is really starting to bother me how Ryan is ignored by FOX and SPEED. No matter what the guy does he gets no love from these guys. Today they interviewed the top four, but couldnt do one more interview and do one w/ Ryan. #### when Ryan won the 500 in 2008 Kurt Busch and Roger Penske got all the recognition for that win. it's rediculous. I think maybe if Ryan sneeks over into the 48 or 88 garage and steals one of the name stickers from one of those cars, slaps it on his own maybe then these moron tv people will talk about him.
"He makes me look thinner" Tony on why he picked Ryan to be his team mate. bet he's gonna enjoy his fair share of Krissie's cookies every weekend lol

Re: Pheonix race

Interesting post CS, I completely agree. Great race. Great to see our 2 drivers in the top 10 in points. Hope that stays the same all season.

I notice not only do they not talk up Ryan but when Tony's in the lead, they don't talk about him so much either. Mmmm. Tony definitely gets more mention than Ryan though. Sometimes I feel like no one gives Ryan enough credit. Unless he's complaining about safety issues or something, he's all but forgotten. Hopefully MJ is onto something and he's starting to get out there more and getting more publicity. I really think he'll make the Chase this year and all indications are that he will. Then maybe he'll get the recognition he deserves.

You know it could be Ryan's easy-going attitude too. He could be a Mark Martin in 20 years?? The nice guy everyone wants to see win a race or two every year. But stays in the background most of the time.

Atta boy Ryan and team 39! Enjoyed seeing the 39 in contention and running top 5 and 10! As much as I want the wins for Ryan, consistency has proven to breed wins. I'll take consistency any day as when the chase rolls around, maybe the wins will as well!

Glad to see Ryan competitive! Bring on Las Vegas!
