NASCAR Now is back on ESPN! Great interview with Tony and Steve Addington. This must mean it's getting close. I can almost hear the roar of the engines, Daytona here comes Tony!!!!

Thank god,i was wondering when it would be back on,i don't care much for the one on Speed.

Hey which show signed Ricky Rudd to it? Was it this one?
He was another one of my all-time Favorites.

NASCAR NOW signed Ricky Craven. I don't think Ricky Rudd has been signed to any show, but not a bad idea. I am not a fan of Ricky Craven, his commentary is always about JJ. I know Ricky Craven drove for Hendricks but IMO a sports commentator should not have a favorite.

Rudd & the old Miss Sprint Cup chick were signed to one of the shows. I just dont remember which one. (you know, old age & all)
I am ok with the commentators having favorites, I just don think the announcer guy should play favorites (like the Bestwick's of the group)

Great,another year with Ricky Craven,all he did last year was anaylize the #48 team and spoke little of the rest of the field till things were looking good for Tony or Carl and he then realized there wasn't going to be a six in a row! Ricky thinks that JJ is the greatest driver ever and that's ok by me,even if i don't agree.The job is commentator and there's over 42 other drivers out there,every freakin show #48 this #48 that.The show is called NASCAR NOW, not the freakin Ricky and Jimmy show! Ricky Rudd would be a great replacement,let alone an addition to the show,least his carreer was a #### of alot longer and he doesn't claim to know everything. Craven wasn't all that great of a driver to begin with,let alone expert,least Rudd has more than one story too.LOL The only one Craven has and will be remembered by is his win over Kurt Busch at Rockingham i believe it was. Then we have Jimmy Spencer,oh ####,i'm not going there!

If anyone cares they said yesterday (tues) that Danica would be on Nascar Now today (wed 15th) .

On a similar topic its starting already, meaning Ricky Steinhouse Jr, and others were in a picture with Danica in the middle holding up a sign over her face saying "Danica and the other guys", meaning her getting all the attention in NNS. Some other forum posters are crying about it while Danica does have her supporters saying not to blame Danica if they cant make their own headlines--sooo right. I thought it was funny.

Well Racer... I do agree with the jist of your blog - she's not causing the hype, it's the media.... but your story is a lil off. Here's the story, link & pic. You will see that Ricky Stenhouse Jr, as the Family Feud Team Captain, came up with the name ... and Danica went along with it.

It wasn't "people" or "haters" ot the media that came up with that name and picture... it was Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Danica went along with it.

Just want to be sure everyone is clear and knows the true story behind the pic.

Danica Patrick certainly doesn't mind the attention she gets for her activities on and off the racetrack, but the last thing she wants is to be the sole focus of attention in the Nationwide Series this year.

At a Nationwide dinner during the NASCAR media tour, Patrick and four other drivers squared off against five reporters in a mock game of Family Feud for charity. After the media members slyly stole Patrick's preferred team name of "Honey Badgers," captain Ricky Stenhouse Jr. opted for "Danica and the Other Guys" for the team name. Why? "Because that's what it is," quipped Stenhouse, the defending series champion.

Stenhouse's jest is couched in more than a little truth. When Patrick raced in the Nationwide Series last season, as she did 12 times, race promotions invariably featured her above all other drivers. As she races full time in the series this season, Patrick would rather see the attention spread around, as she feels it deserves to be.

"Ricky said something about 'That's what it is.' " Patrick said afterward. "That's not true. There's tons of great racing out there, and if I was out there by myself, trust me, no one would be watching.

"So, I don't agree. I do get a little uncomfortable with that, but only because I don't agree with that, if that makes sense. There's a lot of great personalities and drivers, and they all make the series – that's for darn sure."

Patrick has drawn criticism in some quarters for the suggestive ads that feature her primary sponsor, GoDaddy.com. The 2012 Super Bowl broadcast provided more of the same – a scantily clad Patrick in "GoDaddy Heaven" encouraging viewers to get a domain name "and make your business and personal Internet dreams come true." Patrick, however, brushes off the naysayers.

"It does not get to me," she said. "I do what feels comfortable to me, and then I'm good with it. I've always been lucky enough in my career and in my life to be able to be an honest person, to be able to be authentic, whatever good and bad may come from that. With the GoDaddy commercials, we have a lot of fun with them. And not just GoDaddy – I look pretty in different ads for other people, too.

"I'm a girl, and to say I can't use being a girl doesn't make any sense. In this world, there's so much competition out there that you have to use everything that you have to make sponsors happy, to attract them, to be unique, be different.

"But, more than anything, I'm just glad that I get to show different sides of my personality. I'm really fortunate. I don't have a cookie-cutter sponsor, and that's kind of cool."
