Shootout Time

Okay, Chili Bowl is over. Time to start packing for Daytona and the the Shootout and the Outlaws in Volusia County

Not to sound dumb but, As iam a Danica fan and watched a fair amount of Nascar at times, Danica in NNs etc, could someone explain this shootout, as Ive saw some of it in the past but not sure what it is really? Thanks. I think I heard something about the top 35 cars only so Danica wont be in it??

2012: The field was once again expanded. Automatic bids went to the top 25 in series points (every driver from eventual series champion Tony Stewart to 25th place Brain Vickers), as well as any Daytona race winner who was not otherwise qualified and who competed in at least one race in 2011 (which will enable Bill Elliott, Geoff Bodine, Derrike Cope, Michael Waltrip, Jamie McMurray, Trevor Bayne, Terry Labonte, and Ken Schrader to make the race if they decide to run).

So looking forward to DAYTONA to begin love that place watching Tony win and climb the fence was sure the greatest race ever.
