Newman To Be In Both Races This Weekend!

Ryan's first and only win with S/H Racing was at this track on April 10TH, 2010! He came in second that same year in November.

Ryan will be driving the #30 Dollar General Chevy for Turner Motorsports in the Nationwide Series!

After racing at Phoenix from 2000 to 2010 Ryan's average start there is 11.8.....His average finish there is 20.18. He has 5-Top 5's.

His stats aren't all that great there over all but he has gotten a win there!

I hope Team #39 can "shake off" that Daytona race and get Ryan into Victory Lane at Phoenix! The race is a Sunday 3:00PM EST start on FOX.

GOOD RACING LUCK TEAM #39! 8-)

Re: I'm Over Daytona, Nascar Heads To Phoenix!

I think Ryan will go into Phoenix with a great deal of confidence, as well he should. I'd love to see him successfully defend his spring win there :!:

I tell you HiddenHollow. Newman get's no respect on Speed Channel

I just got done watching Race Hub. They show the wreck that collected Ryan and the announcer talked about every driver other than Ryan? The announcer did mention his second wreck oddly. Then they at the end of the show talked about up coming guests on there show with a big list of names. One again, they omitted verbally Ryan's name that was clearly on there list? Makes no sense to me but I have noticed this for many years!

He and his team need something positive.....like a successful racing season! Newman won't say it ever but he has got to be sick of all those bad results at Daytona!

Good point Schmoopy1000. These drivers are basically censored. In my opinion, I don't like that at all. A driver should be able to criticize in a some what professional manner. But, those are Nascar's rules.

Hey Schmoopy1000, you race modifieds?

Re: I'm Over Daytona, Nascar Heads To Phoenix!

Who makes the rules on what the drivers can or cannot say? Is that done by committee or Brian France? Too bad some of the reporters, writers, and those that give their opinions on shows don't have a rule or two.

I'm ready for Phoenix as well. I'm ready to see if Ryan and crew can pick up where they left off from Daytona. Truly they were one of the cars that made up the class of the field. This new point system is going to be interesting.

Yeah, I'm also interested to see how this new points system works out as the season unfolds.

No. I have a friend that races sprint cars (pavement) & the 26 car in my sig is the car I spot for. The 99 Limited Late model Dirt car on my avatar is the car I pitted for in cali. I also Hung the body for it by scratch (1st I had ever done it, just winged it LOL) painted it, & was responsible for taking it off & banging out all the damage LOL. You should have saw how #### I got when we were involved in a spin with three other cars. My driver couldnt get it in reverse, & the guy we were up against got tired of waiting & drove over the nose of our car.
