Week 3 - Dover

Tony will be running chassis 14-564. This chassis was built in late 2009, and has been one of Smoke's best cars since it rolled out of the Kannapolis shop. 8 of the 12 races it has run, it has finished in the top 10. It also has one win (Fontana) and it's worst finishes of 22nd (Homestead) and 32nd (Texas) were due to crashes after leading 43 & 74 laps respectively in those races. I am glad to see them bring this car, as this is certainly one of the better builds in the SHR shop. He is going to need it considering how he ran at Dover in the Spring.

Thanks for the update. I hope it performs like it had in the past.

Well practice didn't go well. Not very fast based on top speed and 5/10 lap avg.

Neither Tony or Ryan. Both struggling with their setups. :(

That was it for practice, right? The only thing tomorow is quals.

Re: Week 3 - Dover

Yeah that is it besides qualifying. TBH this doesn't look like a good week for the SHR cars. Really I think Tony would be thrilled if he managed to get a top 15 out of this the way he has run so far this weekend. Hopefully that's not the case because I seriously don't want to witness another run at Dover like he had in the spring. I've been going to Dover for 17 years and I have never seen him miss the boat like he did that day.

Smoke_14, are you going on Sunday? If so, I hope you have a wonderful time and witness some redemption from the spring. Ya gotta believe.

Re: Week 3 - Dover

I'll be there on Sunday. Wouldn't miss it for anything. I really do hope Tony runs well. I'm not looking for a win but a top 10 would be great. It just appears based on how they have run so far this weekend it's the same thing I saw in June at Dover.
