It seems they overreacted from speeds Cup & Nationwide cars were running.Didn't see anything out of control during truck practice yesterday

Whatever happened to, "have at it boys?"

it does make a difference. faster the truck the harder the impact, the longer the wall repair will take. or maybe just to be fair they made the previous practice sessions for nationwide and cup worthless had to do it to the truck guys too

Im sorry i just dont see 10 mph at those speeds making a diff......basically a much lower speed can cause just as much damage and bodily harm.....cars can get airborne at 150...its all bout the how it plays out......imo

Gee, I thought racing was all about SPEED anyway.

At this rate, by the end of the season at Homestead, they'll be in go karts with 20cc motors, restrictor-plated of course.

Why not just drop the engine size by 50 or 100 CI and forget the restrictor plates?

Totally agree with you guys...it is all about speed. If we wanted to watch tricycles race, we wouldn't be NASCAR fans. And if the drivers don't want to go as fast as they can, they need to go work at a gas station or Taco Bell. I hate restrictor plates too. They can design the vehicles to be as safe as possible for the driver without slowing them down, IMO.

Daytona and Talladega are obsolete. If we're going to run those tracks, there'll have to be some kind of regulation on it, be it the plates or the engine size or whatever.

People ask me why I like NASCAR Racing so much. The answer is simple...where else can you watch people drive about 200 mph, get into a really bad accident, and walk away like nothing ever happened...can't say that about your own car. Also try driving that speed and not get a speeding ticket or going to jail on normal streets.

All things considered, the truck race last night was pretty good (I thought). Better style of racing with them not hooked up nose to tail.
