Top 5 Favorite Songs of All Time.

Okay... So maybe the Fav. lists from the 70s was too inclusive. I thought a lot of us liked Classic Rock from that era, but apparently not. SORRY! So please list your top 5 favorite songs from any decade, any genre.

1. Simple Man by Lynryd Skynyrd
2. Brandy by Looking Glass
3. Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie
4. The Last Resort or Life in the Fast Lane by The Eagles
5. Anything That's Rock and Roll Is Alright by Tom Petty/Heartbreakers

I Was Country (When Country Wasn't Cool) - Barbara Mandrell (love the theme song, Country Girl, from her show.)
Walking After Midnight - Patsy Cline
Teddy Bear - Red Sovine
This Cowboy's Hat - Chris LeDoux
Cowboy's Sweetheart - Patsy Montana

This is a hard one. The first one was the easiest. But, the rest...not so easy. I have a lot of faves.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Songs of All Time.

I like a lot of classic rock songs from the '70s but I dunno any albums mainly cause I was born in 1986.

I like such an eclectic mix that I have a hard time picking five overall so I'll cheat and list my five from various genres without repeating artists.

Classic Rock:
Lonely Ol' Night - John Mellencamp (and most of John's other '80s songs)
Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen
You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top
I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Hagar

'60s Rock:
House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
Somebody To Love - Jefferson Airplane
Go Now - The Moody Blues
There's A Place - The Beatles
I Get Around - The Beach Boys

Oldies:
Soul and Inspiration - The Righteous Brothers
I Only Have Eyes For You - The Flamingos
C'mon Everybody - Eddie Cochran
Most Ricky Nelson songs
Sleepwalk - Santo and Johnny

Country:
Twentieth Century Drifter - Marty Robbins
Five Hundred Miles - Hoyt Axton
A Field of Yellow Daisies - Charlie Rich
King of the Road - Roger Miller (and most of Roger's songs)
The Road - Waylon Jennings

Soul/R&B
Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding
Living In America - James Brown
Having A Party - Sam Cooke
Get It Together - Seal (Most recent song on my list)
Knock On Wood - Eddie Floyd
"This one's for every one of those fans in the stands that pull for me every week and take all the bull**** from everybody else." - Tony Stewart, July 29, 2007

"My fans have more balls." - Tony Stewart on Jeff Gordon's fans.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Songs of All Time.

...I've liked a LOT of songs through the years, but...these are the only 2 songs that I've REALLY connected to strongly for some reason...and the reason I'm such a Blue October fan today... 8-)

P.S. ...they're VERY emo, don't listen if you're easily depressed... ;)

...3-5 would be about a 250 way tie... ;) :D
